Looks good. I had a similar idea a while back that I never finished. Ended up messy and I got lazy. I might finish it up anyway for the hell of it. Because I'm a jerk.

hope we can now have a stable and recommended 3.0 release, since the last stable that is still advised on the rxtools git is the 2.6 release
There will be no official 3.0 release until new3DS support is finalised.

It's working from what I understand, but there are still some major bugs to squash.

The 3.0 release seems to be pretty stable on my end :yay: Every now and then though, it does boot me into a black screen, but Gateway also used to do that from time to time

I think now the 4.x are much problem with the last rebuild, they just have to do the update to 9.2 ;)
TBH I don't even know why people insist on using 4.x still. 9.x has a ton of improvements over it, and it uses the updated save crypto. It's not like 9.2 has any disadvantages anymore (that I'm aware of).

I'm still on 4.2 because gateway hasn't been up to par with MSET yet!

Btw, mind if I put your infographic in the tutorial thread alongside @pakrett's? :P

I think because the mset is sur and many people are affraid to do the update and the downgrade of mset on 9.x ;)

    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

@Maximumbeans, I had a friend who had a glass chess set for their birthday.

It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.
