I need your help. I am trying to find a solution for two weeks, but no results.
I have old 3ds with emunand (fw4.5) and rxtools2.6. Everything works fine.
But if i try upgrade emunand to latest FW (by settings update) or older (by cia) - always after updating get a black screen.
I tried to start all over again from format sysnad and make new emunand, but again got a black screen.
What could be the problem?
Sounds like you are missing the slot0x25keyX.bin, or have a bad one.

any idea what this error means???
compiling seems to be asking a password???? o.O
As i could recall that is just caused by the FTP commands which it would try to download the unifont bitmap.
Yes, you could open the Makefile inside rxTools folder, and try find out the URL, download it and place to rxTools folder.
windows have a ftp command however not very compatible as the standard UNIX like systems.

URL:http://mirrorcatalogs.com/gnu/unifont/unifont-8.0.01/unifont-8.0.01.bmp << Just fetch this link and save the file with anything you like.

I have 3 question:
1 - Does the rxTools-v3.0-Beta8 fixed the Installation Data Suite? I have version 3.0b5 and everytime I boot rx it install data (....x.).
2 - Does anyone know the web exploit url that I can boot rxTools-v3.0-Beta8, without need of CakeROP.nds (4.X, 9.X)
3 - MSET Downgrade is working fine for rxTools? After I downgrade I use MSET 9.x and Profile Nintendo DS will boot fine on rxTools?

Thank you.

1- not everyone have this bug, I invited you to a conversation with clean data folder.

2- In the 3.0 b8 pack you can found a code.bin (copy it on the root of your SDcard) in the "mset" folder and a qr-code for 9.X

3- mset works on 9.X but you need to downgrade the app to the 4.X or 6.X version :

--> With the rxtools fonction (read the readme.txt into the "tools" folder of the pack)
--> Or do it manually : https://gbatemp.net/threads/release...olkit-fw-2-0-9-2.382782/page-299#post-5565310

I have the MSET exploit working on 9.2 without a DS flashcart.
Is the MSET exploit a "link" to the rxtools.dat on the sdcard, or does the MSET exploit install a .dat file? Do I have to reinstall the exploit when I upgrade rxtools?

I have a 4.5 sysnand Old3ds running rxTools with the MSET exploit (under the 9.9 emunand).

My sysnand AGB is patched in order to run VC GBA games.

I'd like to upgrade my sysnand to 9.2 (to inject pokemon saves into retail cartridges with save datafiler) and still launching RXtools with the MSET exploit.

Could someone tell me the procedure ? thx

@Leslie White
Easy way is to borrow a "Cooking Mama - Bon appétit" cart, hard way is using sysupdater /w pasta or RxTools (NEVER Gateway or you'll brick).
Friends got to shops with their 3DSes asking to try the game, and got updated that way, less hassle than having to bother with the other method :P
Or if you know someone with a Sky3DS it also works with the original untrimmed PAL ROM.

Ok thanks for the answer ! I thought it could be done with the gateway, thanks for the warning.
Read this thread carefully: http://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-u...om-4-1-8-1-to-9-2-0-20-with-pasta-cfw.389187/

esp the part that says: "..., but never update while in gateway mode, rxMode, cakes or any other cfw using firmlaunch or you'll likely brick your console."
Keyword here is FIRMLAUNCH.
So to use rxtools without it, you need to use DEVMODE (Advanced Options)

Edit: Also see my post here for the correct crc's: http://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-u...-20-with-pasta-cfw.389187/page-9#post-5523269

Edit2: I'm assuming you have a USA version, if you don't then disregard the crc post.

Delete this file from your update folder : "0004001000022000.cia"
Like that you won't need to downgrade your mset after the update.
