This was probably one of the best nfc software around http://n10software.blogspot.com/2015/04/download-nfc-tools-pro-edition.html unfortunately the original developers have disappeared. I think you can find it around other sites as long as your firmware is low enough but be careful getting things that aren't from the source.
Also I may be able to give a hand here. Has anyone taken one of these apart yet? If so how much glue is on the tag? And by looking can you tell me if the solder joints are exposed or hidden? Specifically the memory chip section of the tag.
There are quite a few youtube videos /watch?v=CllLGaDYrHM

I have a 3DS, but it doesn't have amiibo support. Only the N3DS does currently, the original one will need an as of yet unreleased peripheral to support them.

There already was a post like this previously, and there was this guy that was making really huge progress (but nintento took him down before he even started) I dont recall his name.

I knew bookmarking this thread was a good idea. I don't even have a Wii U yet, but now I know the amiibos won't be a barrier of entry for me anymore.

With this all the physical amiibo DLC will be completely accessible and no more need to bother with them. :)

Nintendo made an NFC amiibo reader (could've read Skylanders and Infinity toys too) so not only would the customers need to buy the amiibos for the extra content but also this. It's understandable the O3DS isn't capable.

Did they already make the amiibo reader for the O3DS? As far as I knew they use different tech than skylanders and needs it's own thing

It's coming a few days later this month.

Ah, guess why it's this way then.

I am not doing a jig on a dance pad yet. We all know about the WiiKey U.

If it all works out I would only need to sell 5-6 Amiibos to to pay for this thing. Would love to be a fly on the wall at the scalpers lair when this thing ships. :)

I don't think scalpers will take too much of a hit with this actually. There are some people who want the short print figures for the figures themselves, not necessarily the data from them.

Nintendo's restocked the "rare" amiibos so the scalpers can no longer charge ridiculous amounts of money.

I believe you are seriously underestimating scalpers and the ignorant masses good sir. Even if they were restocked, a scalper could still say it's rare, and an unknowing grandmother would buy a dozen "danky kang" amiibos.

Nintendo Store UK has them in stock and the whole amiibo craze has died out, at least in Europe. It was bound to happen as it was a ticking time bomb anyway.
