Enjoying playing around with themes so far. But I have a couple questions.

Could someone explain to me how you'd take one image and split it between the top and bottom screen without it coming out of sync? Tried cutting the image in half & scaling them to the appropriate size for the template, but of course the bottom becomes a bit squished / out of sync with the top.

Then there's Folder & App borders. Not entirely sure how to make those, does anyone have a tut on making those?

FIRST scale the image, THEN cut it, THEN fill the space. But I didn't made a theme like that so maybe I'm wrong.
About folders a app borders... Use YATA+! It has sizes for all images.
The folder icons automatically get cropped to a shape of a folder on the 3DS. Plus, color settings will modify the end result further.
As for app borders, they get mirrored vertically.
If I didn't answer something, answered it poorly, etc., you can always check out this thread: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?threads/393602/
Good luck![emoji6]

Ah, didn't know that about the folders. I thought you actually had to make a folder image. xD

Thank you for the video, i'm trying to make a static image for both top and bottom screens that align though, i'm not sure if the same concept applies.

I'll have to get some sleep and try tomorrow when I can think straight. :P

Thank you both. :)

I used New 3DS FW 9.9.0-26 J (Japan version.) But i can't changed themes by ninjahax 2.0. How i can changed it. pls told me thank you
If you're using CHMM 1.4, the path of the themes folder must be SD:/Themes, the same that is used from Gateway users. Otherwise the problem could be another. Try to install the standard theme of the console, and then try to install a theme via CHMM.

Is the a video or tutorial someone on how to use CHMM for 1st time users?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

@xWaterLily try this version, see if it's seamless for you :)

EDIT: The white space there, it's because the viewable area for these panoramic images in themes is actually 1008x240 but you need the extra space around it when you make the theme and import it.

Thank you! this worked perfectly

Sorry in advance for any errors. I'm not very good with English language, so it is very difficult for me to write long messages.

Is very simple. Insert the theme files in SD:/Themes/Theme Name/ (For CHMM 1.4 or Gateway users. For the previous versions of CHMM the path is different [Only for Ninjhax users]. But the version 1.4 is the last released, so it is advisable to use that). Turn on the console and install the standard theme of the console (Not from CHMM. I don't know if this step is necessary, but I can't install my themes otherwise. So maybe it's the same for everyone). Then start CHMM (Which must be, of course, in the path SD:/3ds/CHMM/ if you use Ninjhax) and choose a theme to install by pressing A. If an error occurs and the theme will not install, it means you have not installed any of the standard themes of the console (I think this is a error of the themes with background music, but I'm not sure).

So i was working on a theme, had it somewhat working (some custom cwavs didn't work for some reason), so i reconverted the sounds again and installed the theme again and now it just boots to a black screen. :(

Any ideas why this happened or how to fix it so it boots again?

If I understand correctly, the HOME Menu doesn't appear and the screen remains black?
Turn off the console and remove the SD Card. Turn on the console and re-insert the SD Card when it is turned on. Start CHMM (Or extdatatool) and install a theme (not what you had previously installed).

CHMM must be inserted in SD:/3ds/CHMM/ (only the themes must be inserted in SD:/Themes/). Try to rename the file with the folder name (example: CHMM.3dsx if the folder is called CHMM).
It's still not showing up..

Actually Themes folder location may not actually matter(?)

Iirc, when you first boot CHMM it has you navigate to the folders directory.
