Short answer: Yes.I haven't found a clear answer anywhere, so i will just ask here if its ok...
Is there a way to make the blue gateway card without downgrading? to run in an emunand 9.8 (already updated gateway ultra to support 9.9 but havent updated 3DS yet), Im running the emunand with the browser exploit, dont remember the original firmware now but its definitely after the 6.1 or something when they blocked the blue gateway card.
Thanks for the help
Hi guys here's a couple of questions hopefully someone can help.
I'm going to get 3DS and now I'm looking at differences between old and new 3DS.
If I buy N3DS XL:
1) Can rxtools or some other CFW work on it? Will it have emunand support if they do?
2) As I understand, gateway only works up to 9.2 firmware - so if my N3DS is not over 9.2 I'd need all of this right?
-gateway card
-original gamecard (either zelda or cubic ninja)
-save dongle (for zelda)
3) If my N3DS is over 9.2, that leaves me only with sky3ds. Is there a way to have emunand on sky3ds? Or can sky3ds be combined with some CFW for emunand? Mainly, I'd like to never update system firmware on it, is it even possible?
If I buy old 3DS XL that is not over 9.2:
1) Do I need flashcart (gateway or sky3ds)
2) If i don't, which CFW is the way to go?
3) Can all games be played (mainly interested in Pokemon and Monster Hunter 3/4)
Perfect, thanks a bunch, i swear i tried searching before a lot i couldnt find anything, i think is because i was focused in using the word blue card in the search xD
Yes, you have made a backup of sysNAND. The Gateway launcher actually doesn't provide a way to make a backup of emuNAND, but you can use emuNAND tool if you want to make a backup of emuNAND as well.Hey everyone, sorry for the long post.
First off just wanted to say thanks for all of the amazing guides/help that is on this forum, it was so helpful in choosing my 3DS+flashcart, and how to install – really appreciated!
I’ve been a bit of an idiot and just was wondering if someone can confirm I haven’t completely screwed up.
I have a New Nintendo 3ds XL running firmware 9.0.0-20E. I bought a Gateway and followed their installation manual that using Gateway Ultra v3.3.
I used the Cubic Ninja exploit and first thing I did like all you recommend is hit the backup SysNand button. However, it wouldn’t turn off so I just thought, hey, I must just put the .bin backup file on my computer at the end. So then I continued on and formatted emunand, updated my gateway card, and then booted into gateway mode.
I switched off the console and put the SD card of the Nintendo DS into my computer, and there was no Sysnand backup file on there – obviously because I’d been an idiot and formatted Emunand, so it had erased it! So I re-did the exploit with cubic ninja, went into gateway mode and backed up the sysnand, forced power off and put the .bin file straight onto my computer.
My question is – have I actually created a backup of the sysnand, or the emunand partition? Ie have I screwed myself and not made a viable backup?
Probably a silly question but just wanted to make sure before I updated my emunand with system update.
Thanks so much in advance – really appreciated!
Are you scanning the QR code and getting a black screen? If so, I was having the same problem, but it turns out that the QR code is actually working. Smea's server has been acting up and so download speeds from it are very slow. If you scan it and get the black screen, wait for a while and it will eventually finish downloading the payload it needs to launch Ninjhax. On a 10Mb download speed connection, it took around 5 minutes for the install screen to pop up, so you may have to wait a bit for it.Hi everyone
i have just purchased an fw 9.0 EUR new 3DS, after hours of serial number hunting. Now i am trying to run ninjhax 1.1, but the qr provided at the web page doesn´t work. Where can i find the qr code i need at the github?
it eventually worked. I just needed to sit down near the wifi source hahaYes, you have made a backup of sysNAND. The Gateway launcher actually doesn't provide a way to make a backup of emuNAND, but you can use emuNAND tool if you want to make a backup of emuNAND as well.
