I recently bought the R4 Revolution for my DS Lite. I was however disappointed to find out after I bought it that GBA games were not supported and so I'm wondering, what would be the best and/or cheapest solution for playing GBA games. I'm guessing I would have to get some type of Slot 2 device. I don't need anything else from the Slot 2 device, just want to play GBA games. What's my best bet?

should cost something around 45$ for the ez4 lite and something around 70$ for the m3 lite, for prices just google a bit (maybe you want to buy from hongkong or dont, so idk)

i recommend ez4 too. lite or deluxe. doesn't matter which of em u get. I bought mine from winsunx.com
it has very good nds support and really awesome gba support.
castlevania portrait of ruin doesn't work on my ez4 lite tho :/ random lockups. but some say it's because of my microSD. Sandisk 1gb.

So where could I buy these specialized carts? I would not mind at all getting a flash cart especially for the GBA since R4 has such great compatibility. I just need to know where these old ones are available and I'll get them. Of the older, cheaper ones, which ones are best?

I have had my EZFA for years and have no problems with it. It has 100% compatibility as far as I can tell. From personal experience winsunx.com is a very good place to go for anything relating to GBA flashcarts.

I did here M3 were working on a GBA solution for the M3 simple. So the R4 should either get it first or not be far behind. With being able to play DS roms from slot 2, with patching you should be able to play GBA roms from slot 1.

Shouldn't we be expecting some cheap memory packs from ewin or something wich would be able to play gba roms?

i don't think you can really get anything in your local area, but i ordered my ez4 of the net.

and to the other guy, if u get an ez4 make sure you don't sell your r4 especially if you want to use ez4 for nds too, as it needs a passme (of which r4 can act). Some quick points if u wann know about ez4. ez4 isn't exactly the most user friendly cart, but there is a great forum at http://ezflash.sosuke.com if you need any help. The deluxe model is the closest to flush but actually sticks out about 1mm so it isn't aesthetically great.
Don't forget to factor in the cost of a microsd card too. Also the speed of the card doesn't affect gba games at all so if you're only using it for gba, you don't need a good card.

Why not just get the older ones that uses flash roms that are cheap and has 100% support for GBA games. It will save you a microsd or what ever.
