So, does it break any DS Mode flashcarts that weren't broken prior to the update?
I'm guessing that's probably a no, but, well, you never know.
At this point, unless stated otherwise by someone else (which I would report it if they did), I think it's safe to assume they won't be blocking any more DS mode flashcarts.

It does break RegionFour. Tested a current installation then reinstalled and tested it out. Both times got an error upon removing Cubic Ninja.
Might be a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway. How can you be sure it breaks regionfour if smealum hasn't created the QR code for 9.9 yet?

With all the hype for ninjhax 2.0, I completely forgot about regionfour and updated like an idiot when I saw smea saying we might as well update to 9.9 over 9.7 (my firmware used to be 9.7). Can't believe it slipped my mind, I hope my Japanese regular new 3ds isn't a paperweight for me now (I don't understand any japanese).

well seeing as he was planning to add a region free launcher directly to ninjhax 2 i guess he will drop support for regionfour and you will just have to wait for the ninjhax 2 release

Ah that's fine, didn't know about the region free launcher included in ninjhax 2.0. Waitng is fine for me, I just really hope I can continue to play my NA games on it haha. Thanks

the multi-rom break was most likely not even intentional.
I'm starting to think GW uses many version-specific lines of code, and if one of those is changed in the slightest it breaks multirom.
Kinda like how emulators started out using game-specific fixes before fully emulating the console.

Can someone please help me? I formatted my emunand and then updated my emunand to 9.9. Following the update the system rebooted. If I go into settings, I'm on 9.0 and when I try to boot gateway, I get a black screen. So basically I'm unable to enter gateway mode after the update. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you :)
