This may seem like a dumb question, but how do you play .cias on the fbi launcher. I lave the fbi channel on my 3ds from installing it with rx tools, but how do you play them on it? do I just put the .cia file it on the root of the sd card?
You install them with FBI. You have to install them first.

okay, do i just put the .cia file on my sd, and click a on it on the fbi launcher, and then what do i need to do?
Think of the .cia file as an .exe

Once you install the game/update/dlc with the .cia, the game will appear on the homemenu. You can delete the .cia file after (just like a .exe)

Think of it more like an INSTALLER. An MSI... an exe is what launches a program, a bit confusing dont cha think?

FBI 1.4.2 still has issues with some .cia files which force me to use Title Manager.

I should mention that the new overwrite feature does cause a minor issue. I have sysNand and emuNand linked so I use to install a .cia onto one of them and then install (with an error) onto the other. Now I have to fully install twice to stop the constant unwrapping of games whereas before the second time would give me and error and it would show up without fully installing the second time.

Maybe show the error as before and have at the bottom where you can press A to overwrite or Start to continue.

I will not unlink sysNand and emuNand.

EDIT: There is also an issue when pressing the Home button and then going back into FBI, the system freezes and forces a hard reset.

EDIT2: I received a very weird error. "Description already exists." What does that mean? It happened with these 4 system titles:

Code:
0004013000001A02
0004013000001B02
0004013000001E02
0004013000001F02

Im also wondering if this needs a kernel exploit, if not we could use it in ninjhax 2.0 to install legit cias
