lol write an apology? What for? "We're sorry the game was officially translated. We wish it would have continued to be ignored, but it just couldn't be. Forgive us for this transgression of theirs, for now we must abandon the project." This thread is slowly dying. It will meet its end soon enough with the odd post here or there from people saying "I wish this was still going" until it fades into oblivion.

well i agreed better lock this translation thread and marked it as abandoned before it disappoint more people and other hater like me post much worse opinion.
for all my friends sao fans well i'm very sad and disappointed like all of you :V see this to cheer you a little bit

for the translator i suggest you better write some apology in front of page for 538.249 viewer and sao fans that hoping this translation completed.

Well in response then I give you this:

There's really no point locking this thread down, this thread is well established as the main hub for infinity moment translation, the only other worthwhile search results are the story translation blog and exorcizamus's patch. That makes this thread the ideal place for anyone new who make take up the translation to spread word about it.

Even if that doesn't happen, hold out for Vita hacking. Yes it may take a while but when it does get hacked, and give a while longer for emulation to catch up, you can buy the game and play it without the additional hardware cost (keep an eye out for high quality preowned in the mean time, theres some good deals if youre patient and keep a close eye on it). That will open up Lost Song for you also, and probably 1/2 more games until the next sony handheld is released, maybe more.

I want to buy manga, anime and japanese games to support authors. But here where I currently am living(Balkan) none are available. On amazon and ebay, I could only find these on Japanese. Hence I can not read Japanese without kanji to kana(who the fuck knows 1k+ of kanji anyway), I am forced to look for English versions. Lately I pre-purchased DanMachi... anyway, same goes for SAO. People and fans are there, but official translation is missing.

I really wonder why are they so closed from us :(

The project was cancelled due to the official translation of Hollow Fragment on the Vita which includes all of the Infinity Moment content. With the PS4 version of HF coming with a better translation, there is no real reason to continue on with this project. Fan translators are only looking to bring content to fans that they have no way to officially experience. Once an official version is announced, 9 times out of 10 a fan translation project for a given game will be cancelled because the fan translators want people to support the official content.

On top of that, to answer your question about a half patch. There will be no halfpatch, the team had to directly alter how the game displays text in order to gain the room to make the translation, especially as Japanese is usually much shorter than English. For that reason a half patch release would be fundamentally broken, the bits of text translated would in theory display correct but all the Japanese would be a mess, not to mention ofcourse the patch would be pretty untested and could have all manner of bugs that would have been cleared up later in the release cycle, for that reason theres no guarantee the English would even work as intended.

Your best bet for a "half patch" is using Exorcizamus's menu patch in combination with the story translation blog if you really can't get a Vita/PS4. Alternatively buy a Vita, theres some good preowned deals, or wait until it comes out on PS4 (assuming you have one) which is said to be Summer 2015.

I will reward you evenly with your efforts. Lets just hope my new business does well.

Du-Dude, no! Just read the two posts above yours.

There's no hope here, for sure.

We can never underestimate fans, right...?

Seriously, it's pretty awkward. "I'm the number one fan of this series. That's why I will be cynically pirating the game and bugging someone to translate it!"

They can ask me to start again when they'll have the actual PSP game + these:

I KNOW LOG HORIZON IS NOT RELATED TO IT AND I DON'T CARE !

550k views is not the same as individual viewers. And you can play the game by buying a Vita. I did, and played HF for about 200 hours. Unfortunately, the Infinity Moment content mostly sucked. I get that that sucks for some people, but keep in mind that you're asking me to spend years of my life translating a game that's freely available in your language of choice.

Accel World is the second anime that I have managed to watch all of (well that currently exists) in 5 years. Welcome to NHK was the other one. Good show. Gonna work on acquiring the light novel and maybe the manga. Nice collection.

Log Horizon is well worth checking out, as well.
I've spent five or so days trying to get myself to watch the last four episodes of season two. Not because it's bad, but because after watching so many 12 to 24 episode anime, 50 episodes of one show has been surprisingly hard to get through. I don't know how I ever watched 550 episodes of One Piece in a month before. But yeah, Log Horizon is good. I like the way it focuses on the MMO aspects and the lack of balance that comes with the existence of the immortal adventurers.
