Just checked again with my N3DS. All Mii Plaza games, other than Puzzle Swap and Find Mii are on SD, not NAND. There is some kind of partial save data on NAND, but that's about it. By partial, I just re-downloaded Ultimate Angler and it has the medal, noting that I have completed it. When I open it, however, I have met 0 Anglers, Cleared 0 Islands, and Caught 0 Species. So, @Apache Thunder, I do NOT stand corrected (entirely). Other than the two original games, the save data (and game data, for that matter) is indeed on the SD card.

Edit: Just downloaded Warrior's way as well. Same thing. Shows the Medal that the latest Plaza update adds to games you completed, but all progress is gone. There's no need for me to bother checking the other games now.

I keep running into the "Cannot initialize AM service" when trying to install. I have rxmode on, and I've reset my system settings.

Any clue?

Which one should I look into, I see a few of them using the google.
Probably all the same thing, just different sites. Yellows8 made it. You can use the Gold Mii tutorial to get the right file, just ignore the hex editing unless you want to try... https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-give-your-mii-gold-pants-and-use-it-for-streetpass.379146/

On a side note I just ran into somebody using Street Pass that was playing "Play Coin Setter" LOL LOL LOL.

Was it Me?

My "favorite" title is set to FBI currently. I'm also seen playing "Rebug CFW Loader for 9.8" sometimes because people are dumb not friends with google and will think there's A) rebug CFW for 3DS, and B) that I'm on hacked 9.8.

FBI does not work through Ninjhax in rxMode since rxMode loads a firmware without the required kernel exploit.

But I'm trying to get access to all my old miis (Which I assume are locked behind a security value, or something) in Mii maker. So while it might be fun to make gold pants miis, it won't really help me.

Jebus... you don't need to do the editing parts. Just get the proper file using extdatadumper and inject it on the system you want it in. I'd say I'm not going to spell it out for you, but between my posts and the Gold Pants Mii tutorial, I already have. If you really don't understand what I'm telling you , then forget it. You shouldn't be messing around with your NAND.

Sorry, not trying to be a dick. This sort of stuff is not my strong suit and I'm basically at my wit's end after fighting Nintendo Support for the past 8 months, hit wall after wall in soft modding, and now just finally accepting that I won't get my Mii plaza data back.

I'll read through your posts and the Gold Pants thread again to see if I can figure it out and get it done. I do appreciate your help, even if I don't show it well.

Are you able to do a manual system transfer? I gather from previous posts that you can run Ninjhax. If you have a NAND backup from before the transfer that screwed up, you can transfer every single bit of save data over, including Mii's and Mii Plaza progress. There are guides here for that, and the guide that I wrote is here (but not ENTIRELY newb friendly): http://www.maxconsole.com/maxcon_fo...ter-failed-transfer-NNID-already-transferred)

And those forums also have a gold pants Mii tutorial that may or may not be easier to understand: http://www.maxconsole.com/maxcon_fo...old-pants-and-use-it-for-Streetpass!-TUTORIAL
Again with the gold pants... don't worry about the title, just worry about how to extract CFL_DB.dat, then how to inject it after you would have edited it (if you wanted to edit it). CFL_DB.dat has all of your Mii info from Mii Maker.

I appreciate the help but, this wasn't a botched transfer and I do not have a NAND backup. Nintendo formatted my 3DS so anything with a security value was all cocked up and it's beyond 9.2 so I can't do anything. So I'm just trying to cut my losses.

However I'm getting a whole bunch of errors. Seems I can't close the book on this without one last fight.

When doing I'm doing the 'Dump all extData to SD Card' I get this error
failed to read 0000008f/CacheD.dat
(5045760) : 0XD900458b -----
name: /Cache.dat
name: /SaveData.dat
total files in 0x0000008f/: 3

After pausing there for 30 seconds a whole lot of text runs through and it says Success! I not sure if that's causing the problems later on, but I'm just noting it.

Afterwards I follow the instructions and placed the CFL_DB.dat and the config.text on the root of the 3DS SD Card. I then run 'Restore extdata specified in config' However I get this

archive getfilesize( ) ret 0x0000009, size=0x00000000
Copying failed!

Checked the config.txt and it's this
; mod
RESTORE "CFL_DB.dat" "f000000b:/CFL_DB.dat"

Only other variable I think of is that there is a CFL_OldDB.dat file as in the dump for f000000b.

Edit: Got it to working looking over the Gold Mii thread, doing
DUMP "f000000b:/CFL_DB.dat" "CFL_DBdump.dat"
RESTORE "dumps/f000000b/CFL_DB.dat" "f000000b:/CFL_DB.dat"
HOWEVER nothing changes in the Mii Maker plaza, just the default Mii there still.

Edit 2: Reloaded my old SD card data and Refollowed all the steps, same results.

Looks like your original problem was using foooooob instead of f000000b. (O, instead of zero).

Are you dumping and restoring the file from the same system? I don't know why you would expect to see a different Mii, in that case. If I understand correctly, you don't have a NAND backup of your RMA'd system and there is no way for you to dump it and extract the .db file from it.
The OldDB.dat one will overwrite what you replaced, if it is corrupted. Check the file and make sure it isn't 0bytes. If it is, use the config option to dump it and add this to your config.txt:

DUMP "f000000b:/CFL_DB.dat" "CFL_DB.dat"

Edit: Oops... I see you did that on your own. At least I know you're reading now :)
