no idea what is happening do you have like a custom homebrew channel theme or something?

Nintendont does not give game ids at all it just reads the iso header for the game id, if the 20xx pack has the same gameid then its not our fault is it? just change the gameid of the iso with an hex editor.

I had the original Homebrew theme, but I tried applying a custom theme to see if it would work. It didn't, so I went and reloaded the default theme again to see if it would solve the problem but it didn't. Should I try a SD card rather than a micro SD card?

Isn't that a problem with the games themselves? They should have different ID to begin with.

Just change the gameid of the iso with an hex editor.

This is fairly easy fix though, I had the same problem trying to load Melee and Melee: SD Remix in USB Loader GX. You need to download a free hex editor, like HxD, open the 20XX iso, and then change the GameID which should be the first 6 bytes. Just change that, save it, and then play. It will create a new save file however, because it's treated like a separate game. You can take a completed melee .gci save file and do the same process to make it work with the new ID.

Thanks guys for your answers. This is pretty much the final touch on my setup and I really appreciate the prompt responses.

Something that confused me for a long time when I was getting everything working was the path for GC games in CFG loader. I had Nintendont working first and everything was great, but then I wanted to add Wii games into the mix and added CFG USB Loader into my setup, and I moved my gc games to the wbfs folder that cfg scans. Wii games worked, and Gamecube games would show up in CFG, but when I tried to launch them they would hang or give a DSI exception. I read through everything I could on integrating Nintendont into cfg loader and googled around for DSI exceptions and gamecube games hanging on boot (a red herring, really). Finally, this line from the first post in this thread tipped me off:

For better compatibility with other loaders, you can put Game's Title and GameID in that part, like this :
SD or USB:/games/Zelda Wind Waker [GZLP01]/game.iso

And I realized I completely jumped the gun moving the files, and CFG Loader was trying to boot them as if they were wii games(?), which was why I was getting all the errors. I felt pretty dumb in the end, but I hope someone stumbles on this post with the same issue and it helps them.

Thanks again tswntk, pedro, and Apostrophe for your responses to my GAME ID issue.

Same here, though I mostly play Dr Mario mode from that game!
the timer didnt run at 1.5x faster but strangely I calculated a time difference of about 1.2759x so I ended up multiplying its timer by 1.276 which was the most accurate I could get it so now it runs *nearly* at 1x, it starts to differ half a second after like 10 minutes so I think its close enough.

no it just sometimes it fails to start, just try again it should work, all multielf games are abit wonky like medal of honnor rising sun sometimes fails to load a mission aswhell, so the awnser is restart.

some custom homebrew themes disable nintendont so yeah your wierd failled install must have blocked nintendont maybe trying to get a fresh homebrew instalation solves your problems and dont use custom themes.

Go into the save data management on your system, and delete the Homebrew Channel save data (not the Homebrew Channel itself, just the save data) and try again. Not all custom themes break Nintendont - I use a light custom theme that changes only the font, and enables non-Roman characters. (I only speak English, but Moonspeak looks a lot cleaner and more elegant than Mojibake or Invalid Character error symbols) It works on both Wii and vWii.

So try other themes if you want - just don't forget what to do if they break!

I figured out the problem... I had my action replay memory card (the old one, that you can add codes) in slot B, and I took it out, and it worked... thanks for you're help, I wished I thought about this at first.

Ah, that would do it.
Nintendont likes to try to mount anything in slot B that it doesn't detect as a memory card as a debugging device - so if it isn't one, it'll crash.
Just as a note for other readers.

EDIT: Personally, I use cMIOS and WiiRD for cheats - either DIOS MIOS for USB games (because Nintendont runs in Wii mode, so the memory addresses are often different, the otherwise-obsolete DIOS MIOS ensures cheat compatibility) or just WiiGator's cMIOS for disc games. Of course, if you're on a Wii U, you're stuck with Nintendont's cheat compatibility.

Saves on specialist hardware, and lets my Gamecube collect even more dust.

That makes sense, I wish I took it out 5 days ago. But now that it's working, how do I get the bios working, where do I put the file at?

I've got a major annoying issue here. Late last night/this morning, I upgraded to Nintendont 3.342. Booted up a couple of games, using my Wii U Pro Controller, and everything worked perfectly. Now fast-forward, a couple of hours later, I went ahead and updated via the update method in the app itself. Also went ahead and downloaded Titles.txt as well as the Controllers.zip file too, again all from inside the app.

Now I try to play the very same games, using my Wii U Pro Controller again, and it will not work at all. When I press any button on the controller, it syncs up to the system just fine, the lights come on and registers as Controller 1, yet I'm unable to do anything at all inside the gamecube games.

Also, all of this is being done on a vWii in the Wii U.

if you have a hid controller or gamecuble controller unplug it, nintendont has internal configs now and if it detects a hid controller activates it imidiately overpowering the wiiu pro BT for 1 player.

The only exceptions to that is, I have both an original first-generation 2006 Wii, Remote being used with the system. As well as a black thirdparty Wii remote with Motion Plus built in, other than that I have no other devices, besides a usb hard drive plugged in.

my guess is your wiiu pro isnt official?

my fake wiiu pro only worked with very old nintendont versions that had BT, the newer ones(like newer 100 revs that is) the controller doesnt work at all, becuase nintendont is very specific with controller code and 3rd partys or fake ones(like my ebay one i bough for 11$ lol) send wierd signals.

I got mine off of eBay as well, but it looks exactly the same as a retail one. It had some minor scratches on it when I got it, so it was obviously used before, but very lightly.
Plus like I said, it worked last night with the (then-newest) trunk build, which was 3.342
