What are the chances of me finding one that I can use with my gateway flashcart. Are they shipping with fw that's too high now?

Would the majoras mask 3dsxl have FW below 9.2?
I don't know if special editions got a second volume. Maybe look around a bit to find out which 3ds has the highest chance to be below 9.2 (I would say it but i have no clue)

I have ordered two from Amazon and both have been 9.0. Since they just stock them and send them first come (and since prices are above retail) most seem older. Considering you can usually still save tax it is still cheaper than going to walmart

The MM one did, and it's like 9.4 or something.

Walmarts and targets are a good bet. They're typically willing to let you look through them and check the serial numbers.
