Well, I tried a sysNAND format, the message came up again.
I'm not sure what a hardmod is.
Is there any other way to get DevMenu onto my 3DS aside from ctrclient? I've run through the tutorial 3 times and always get "failed to connect".
I am trying to give my cousin an XL with some games on it. I downgraded to 4.2, got Palpatine CFW on it, installed DevMenu, and am about to install a few games.
If an Ambassador unit were to transfer to this one after it is updated to the latest firmware, would it lose the games installed via CIA? Or would it merge? I do not think my cousin is interested in anything more involved than the power button and actual gameplay.

9.6 EmuNand with GW 3.1.1 beta on O3DSXL, working or should i stay on emu9.5?

The way I did it was dump ticket.db with rxtools, then use funkycia2 to download the CIAs, then bbm to install them on the n3ds.
Ok, but how do I get BBM to run on the N3DS without Gateway?
EDIT: I just realized that what I'm trying to do is impossible, because the N3DS won't run content signed for another console.
Another verynoob question: with my 7.1.0 3DS firmware (without Internet Browser so I cannot use the gateway red card), can I use normal NDS roms ?
For now I copied the content of "Blue Card (R4i)" folder in the microsd ant put it in the blue card; then I copied the launcher.dat in the SD... but I receive an error when launching "deep labyrinth"... is the blue card compatible with 7.1.0 firmware to play normal nds games ?

I have some noob question, about Gateway & emunand on New 3DS 9.0.0-20E. I use Zelda Ocarina of Time exploit.
Do I need to wipe sysnand and emunand?
When I install a ".cia" on emunand, it is not in sysnand, right? (Because I will upgrade this way, emunand on 9.5, and I don't want of course to update sysnand!!!)
And how can I backup Mii Plaza and save from my 3DS sysnand, and restore in emunand?

A hard mod involves connecting an Sd adapter to the pin outs on the motherboard so you can flash the NAND. You can do this yourself or have it done for you.
Sysnand now has its own folder in the 3ds folder on the interanal mSD card.
Not sure what method you are using. How did it was put the .3ds file on gateway and .cia on internal mSD
Load bum fro multi rom menu then install the cia. Now it is on my home screen.
Yes and no. It will download the update when connected to wifi and in sleep mode. In the U.S. It will download the update from a Nintendo zone or AT&T hotspot in sleep mode. You still have to accept the installation.
Well you need to fix that problem.

You do not have to wipe anything if you don't want to. I think what you are getting at is unlinking the two and can be accomplished by system formatting either one. Sysnand with sad card pulled. When you created emunand it should have copied your mini plaza data over. Check it. I don't use that function so am unfamiliar with it.
Hello its been a while since I last tried my gateway and 3ds so i haven't been updated with the latest news. I currently have a 4.5 3ds and 2 or something gateway firmwere. So I was wonding how would I go to be able to play one of the newest pokemon games(ruby and saphire).
It depends on what firmware your emunand is on. It may need to be updated. You should get the latest launcher, it will work with4.5.
When I install a CIA, where exactly does it install to? Some random folder on the MicroSD card?
If I want to buy a larger MicroSD card, I just copy and paste the entire card to the larger card and all my installed CIAs should just show up no problem, right? I don't know if there's a small amount of "system memory" that includes some data or something that would not allow that to work.
