I realize that the CylcoDS is no longer supported. But I still have one and am having issues getting it to work after trying to make it compatible with a 3DS.
I followed the instructions on the "Switch ievo mode to DSi from a DSL" topic on these boards. But since the 3DS has been updated to the most recent update, it didn't work. I gave up on trying to get it work and want it to work in my DS Lite again but I cannot figure out how to switch it from DSi-mode, if I cannot get into the Settings for the CycloDS, on either the 3DS or the DSL.

I'm hoping that there's a way to switch it back without getting into the Settings, but so far I have yet to find a way. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

the title of that thread is "Switch ievo mode to DSi from a DSL". you said you have a cyclods, you did not mention that you had a cyclods ievo. it would seem you are reading instructions that will not work with your flash kit.

Sorry about the double posting.
I have the ievo.
Also, in regards to Technic's post (in the other thread), I installed the original bootstrap. It seems as is it's saved on the CycloDS iEvolution card and not the SD card, because I even reformatted the SD and nothing worked. Is there a way to reformat the CylcoDS iEvo card? I tried plugging it directly into my computer, but it wouldn't let me access it (wasn't even showing up in My Computer). The light on the USB dongle that I put the card into, to put it into my computer, was on, so I know the connection was right. My computer just wouldn't read it. Didn't even seem to try.

Just install the bootstrap the official way. Quoted from the official readme:

How to use
----------

1. Obtain the required ROM files, as listed below
2. Extract the contents of this archive to a directory on your PC and
load the "iEVOBootTool" program
3. Select the source firmware file, which is the .bin file included
along with this archive. Also select the DSLite and DSi ROM files,
as specified below
4. Click "Process". Providing there were no errors (such as corrupt
ROM files), a file named "BOOTUPDT.EVO" will be placed in the same
directory as the iEVOBootTool program
5. Copy “BOOTUPDT.EVO” to the root directory of a MicroSD card
6. Ensure that iEvolution does not have any MicroSD inserted, and then
insert the cartridge into the updater dongle
7. Insert the updater dongle into a USB port on your PC and wait for
the red LED to light up
8. Once the red LED is lit up, while keeping iEvolution plugged into
the PC, insert the MicroSD card containing the “BOOTUPDT.EVO” file
9. The red LED should switch off after a few seconds, which indicates
that the iEvolution bootstrap update is in progress. If the LED does not
switch off, or if it flashes on and off, then there is a problem. This
is often simply the result of contact issues with the MicroSD card, so
try again from the beginning if you get such an error.
7. After a few minutes, the red LED will switch back on. This indicates
that the bootstrap update has completed successfully. Your iEvolution
is now ready to use.
