The cool thing about Wii (not vWii) when it comes to Wiiware and VC is that install them from your PC. No risk to Brick!

Most Loader has 1-click emuNAND installation on SD-card, then you install Wiiware using ShowMiiWads .. easy peasy

Also ALL Wiiware is available on NUS Downloader.. so

I installed the patched ios80, but now I get "error #004 system files corrupted" when trying to open the SD card menu in vwii. This message thankfully doesn't appear if I remove my SD card with all the homebrew apps though, so it isn't bricked or semi-bricked. Still, it didn't let me run a Wiiware wad as I thought it would.

I'm in the same situation as Pepois. Should I be worried like he is? Or is this not a problem for anybody else? DLC for Mario Kart 8 is getting closer and closer and I may bite the bullet and update.

Yes, everything works just like before, no hiccups. I updated for the Mario Kart 8 DLC and haven't had any problems.

What, none of you dumped your IOS80 before patching it. :whip:

Somebody needs to edit the first post, this shouldn't still be happening.

Maybe if you all have a clean nand dump you can install that to emunand and dump a clean IOS80.

That was nice of someone to share, but to have it posted in the open isn't a good idea. One of the mods will probably come along and remove it. Hopefully it's a nice and understanding mod that removes it.

No harm done, just glad it was caught. You can run into legal issues from distributing anything that Nintendo (or any other closed-source company) develops, just keep that in mind

If someone need to restore IOS80 from original IOS80 vWii, Just install IOS 236 and use MMM with IOS 236 and Reinstall IOS80 backup from Bluemod.
