Atheros showed as its driver was installed, there is no actual device. the broadcom one should work fine as soon as it worked with maccheck.cmd

The maccheck now get stuck after the first 1..... -_-" but I've found this thread https://gbatemp.net/threads/homepass-usb-pci-buying-finding-guide.353611/page-2 and in the first post
"Driver: depends on specific card, for my Broadcom BCM94313HMGB I use this."
It's the same wifi card I'm using so maybe is a driver issue...?

After a little bit of derping around and quick fingers, I was able to snap a screenshot of this:

Not sure if it means anything, but I thought I'd let you know about this in case it does.

Godson777 Check if this file exists in /lib/firmware. If not, go to the manufacturer's web site and get this firmware, it may be downloaded separately or in bungle with the linux driver. Place it in /lib/firmware and try again. I preinstalled all available firmware from Debian distribution, but it is not for all available adapters for sure.

So now I understand why I wasn't able to streetpass with my NETGEAR WNR1000v3 router... I had it set to WPA2-PSK (AES), and I'm on 9.4 EmuNAND. :|
yeah i changed to mac restricted and no key :)
already streetpassed a lot since yesterday

Ichisuke Cant open the link, but yes, you can try to change the drivers, I had no issues with Broadcom hardware and streetpass.

Changed to older version and is now working but there is a small problem. The wifi doesn't reconnect automatically to the router. It is able to reconnect 2-3 times then I have to reconnect it manually to the router SSID. Can I make something to "help" it?

Which usb adapters work at the moment?
For native Windows method Realtek chipset is preffered, Atheros is not recommended, the rest should work.

I'm afraid there is nothing to do with that, just try to for several more MAC changes, it may reconnect then.

It's working now. My SSID was hidden so windows wasn't reconnecting correctly.

After installing the firmware (and more quick fingers...) it failed yet again, however I was able to snap this.

So when this is working, what do you see as your status on the 3DS in the upper left? I had it working great one night, but not since then. I get the Nzone message, but show nothing connected. Sometimes it just shows Enabled or Internet and sometimes Streetpass. The night I had it working I could connect to my own wifi and when I put the 3DS to sleep it would grab streetpasses very quickly.

Apparently it might not be working because the virtual adapter won't pull internet access anymore. Tried at least 10 reboots so far and only had it "work" once.

I decided just to pull out an old DDWRT router and go that route - had things running perfectly within minutes.

Will the script refresh itself every 8 hours with a new mac list or must it be run manually each time?

My router seems to stop cycling at some point, though I can't tell when. I didn't change anything, just copied and pasted the code into telnet and it runs, then stops.

For the router, is there another SSID that can be used aside from NZ@McD1? I'm unable to use the Nintendo zone or Eshop because it detects I am in the wrong region.
