Well, the custom tool used to put text in the game via a bit of manual work sounds like it started working once the source table was cleaned up a bit (formatting) so assuming the text can be put in the game and played then it is a matter of trimming the text to the right dialog window sizes and checking the overall flow of the dialogue as well as if it just plain makes sense at all. I don't have much else to say at the moment but right now the text is being put into the game. It's a bit of a slow process but so far I don't think there are any universe-destroying problems.
Great news on the progress guys! Keep up the great work! You'll have a lot of grateful fans here once this is done.
Thanks for all the warm messages in recent times, its a huge upgrade to all the "where is patch" messages in "the time before"

Okay, just to let people know what is happening. Yugix & Co. are putting the text in the game chunks at a time, though from what I understand there are length concerns that need to be addressed while that is happening.
Meanwhile, CK_Byuu and I are playing ping pong with the translations that have yet to be put in the game but it's all looking good so far. It's just the sheer volume of text that is daunting.

So so excited to see progress on this is still going strong. I was afraid it had stopped since the game is a few years old... I so so so cant wait for this!

anyway just got clued into this and read alot of whats going on and holy shit your nearly done....... reading posts as i go alone typing this.
but its been a long hall i first found out about this in 2011 or 2012 not sure when and i was right the first post i made was about it finishing 2014-2015 lol
(so small win for me today) any way i have a new saying in mind today
all things are connect see, a buterfly may flap its wings causing a frog to chatch its prey and making the snake losing its prey and biting the but of the loin who sleeps in the jungel who wakes and attacks the man who skins the lion to were as a coat who in turn loses it and gets into some gears which stops a car which in turn blocks trafick which in turn slow down the world and yet this was all caused by the buterfly at the start who knew
sorry for the spelling but who get the idea i laughed at this but then realised this could be very possible not in that example but it could happen you will never know

I have been following this in the shadows for a year and a half.
So happy its almost done.

know, they should make available to download the patch to the public as a beta version, so do not occur so much waiting for a translation ... just think =/
I know people are getting anxious to play, but remember it's better to have a complete patch then a partial one. If they released a partial patch then they would have to field all the request to finish that they already are but also the people complaining about it being incorrect or not bug tested. It's best just to be patient and wait for them to finish it, they are so close to finishing it.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better. -

I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
