Okay call me a Supercard traitor fanboys
tongue.gif
but one of my friends REALLY, REALLY, REALLY needed my Supercard Lite, Superkey & Micro SD (well not REALLY but just desperate
tongue.gif
) so I sold it too him ASAP dunno why but I just did
wink.gif
. I thought it would be a good idea to try out a new Slot-2 device given the chance so I headed to BambooGaming & ordered myself a M3 Lite & Superpass 3 Combo! It was cheaper than my Supercard too but thats just because I ordered from Bamboo although I'm a bit worried about BambooGaming as I have completed my transaction and it still reads on the order history "pending payment" & this is about 23 hours later from when I ordered. I sent them a few e-mails but haven't received a reply yet. I guess they are just a bit busy but I do get paranoid/insecure with money and the internet. So now I'm waiting on my M3 Lite
biggrin.gif
, hope it comes soon and for those wondering I wasn't the least bit disappointed with my Supercard Lite! it was nice fast and simple so I might miss that menu from now on but the main reason was for slightly better GBA compatibility seeing as I might be buying a 1-Slot solution sometime soon.

Oh yeah does the M3 Lite support clean GBA roms? or any Slot-2 for that matter?

Not really. You can't really drag and drop into it. It has to be run from the Game Manager. I really should get a smaller M3 one day. the CF one is so outdated even thought it's only 10 months old.

Off topic: Isn't there some law called moore's law where computing power doubles every 18 months? guess it applies to Flashcarts as well! Thanks for the info anyway Harsky

That law is so outdated. My dad gets a new PC last month with dual core and just when I was unpacking it, setting it up with the TV in the corner turned on, they run a frikken advert for Intel quad core.

It's best to use the Game Manager, they give you updates for a reason.
Plus it's not such a hassle anyway right?

Q~

I'm not so much worried about the Game Manager software, it probably works very well but I was looking for more support on the Mac/Linux side so I don't need to bother with Windows XP as I'm rather allergic to it.

Was just reading your post and was just wondering does the M3 provide support for Macs as i much prefer my MacBookPro to my PC *shudders at the thought of using Windows*

I thought I read somewhere that there isn't a version for the Mac or anything like that.
I've never really had any problems with my Windows.
Maybe 'cuz I keep it clean and don't watch virus-containing porn or stuff
wink.gif
.
Hope you find a solution though!

there are no game managers released officially for mac, but I'm not sure how things would run if you emulated windows with something to run the managers.

That's because dual core is more than 18 months old now

. Also, the law has more to do with the complexity of the circuit than the actual power...

No it doesn't. That means there are ways to run pc software on MAC computers. I know they have software to simulate windows environment (I assume this is easier now since all new macs are of Intel chips based on i386 standards vs older macs still use RISC processing) and you can use that to run the game managers. Some people have pulled it off with the g6 u-disk manager and I don't see why it can't apply to m3 as well.

Yeah but if the game managers were open source you could use it on different processor types e.g. PowerPC, ULTRAsparc etc. but not that most end-users know anything about that stuff
tongue.gif
cuz you never know I might just want to buy a POWER5 workstation from IBM

M3 Lite still hasn't arrived, I guess it does say to wait 20 days or more and it is the festive season so could be very busy, looks like I'm gonna have to wait till after holidays to receive my M3 in the mail
