I've heard that if you have installed cia themes or DLC and go to the eshop in emunand, they will get deleted? I have themes installed and I've gone to eshop to update pokemon and I still have all the themes.

Also, how does online work with cia? Do people convert .3dz files with headers already in them to cia and it works online? I think I read somewhere that someone had a "clean" .3ds (no header) and it worked online. I could be wrong though.

Thanks.

Online games only work if it's you who dumps them (meaning you have an original copy of the game). Otherwise, Scene-Releases remove that part (don't know why to be honest). The only way to do so is to inject the header of another online game onto (Pokémon Y for example) for it to work online.

I THINK that .3dz is the "online" format Gateway supports.

I mean in terms of .cia, do those need the headers too?

If I delete an installed cia game, the save will still remain correct? I'm waiting on a larger SD card and would like to play a new game, but I'll need to delete the current one to fit it.

I can't guarantee that. If you uninstall it by emunand's system settings you'll have the option of keeping the save but I don't know what will happen if you delete it using DevMenu.

Okay thanks for the heads up, tested with a random VC game to make sure and yeah, totally lost the save. So is there any way to restore save backups from devmenu? Just so you don't have to go through booting emunand twice to restore a save?

I'm not sure why, but my 4.2 3ds in cfw cannot use the local multiplayer option in any games with download play(Not the download play feature, just local multiplayer in general). Other games with local multiplayer and no download play option work fine though.

Games like mario kart 7, mario open tennis, kirby's triple deluxe, and yoshi's new island will allow me to enter local multiplayer, but it will not connect and will freeze upon exiting(pressing b to go back to main menu).

I have deleted everything, formatted my sd card, and reinstalled cfw, but the problem still persists.

Is it possible to get .XORPads without requiring a Gateway or any form of Flashcart? Or any form of data installation of Gateway without having a Gateway cart? Thanks.

I don't know why I'm bothering trying on this forum since nobody responds to what I have to say but I'll try anyway. I can't get metal gear solid 3ds or resident evil revelations to work on my r5sdhc any help would be fantastic.

3ds games do not work on ds flash cards. You will need a 3ds flash card like gateway or installl cfw if you have a 4.5 3ds.

Oh. My bad. I haven't heard of the card before, so i thought you meant a r4. But seeing as though it is like sky 3ds, I would assume that it would work. I don't have the flash card, so, sadly, I cannot help with more than speculation.

Sorry. Just hope that someone else with a r5sdhc card will be able to help.

It's cool I just hope I can find someone who does have that card. I mean some games work others don't :-(

Ok, so I have seen the development for homebrew on the 3DS, and figured I may as well learn code to at least develop/port some simple apps for the 3DS. Where do I start? What programs do I need to begin learning. What are some good C++(?) tuts to get me started?
