how do you get your wupc to work in vwii it never syncs for me?

It will only work in the homebrew apps listed in the OP. It will NOT work on the vWii main menu. When you sync the wupc, the lights will flash as if the sync was unsuccessful, but it should have worked.

If you're downloading the updated apps from Fix94's repository, make sure you're downloading them from the "wiiuprocontroller" folder.

Reading throughout this website and finding this thread about Wii U Pro Controller support is AMAZING and now all I've thought about is playing all my favorites on it!

But I have some really nooby questions about setting everything up.

Do I need to install d2x cIOS on vWii? Or can I just install the latest homebrew, wii flow, postloader, and nintendont and be able to play GameCube and Wii games?

Thank you so much! Can't wait for Not64 support! The controller dilemma of Nintendo has pissed me off for many years, this is the best news ever!

When Classic controller for player 1 is active, WUP hijacks that signal instead of initializing as player 2, and vice versa. Since there are no player 3 and 4 slots, I think it would work best if there were either a WUP option in controller settings, or when one CC/P or WUP is already active then the next controller becomes player 2.
as daxtsu said I need to manually keep track of the pro controllers thanks to wiiuse having the variable privately used in the library so I have no access to it whatsoever. We cant change the playercount whatsoever.

I've pointed this issue out in the "other" WUP homebrew thread. It seems to apply to basic wiimotes also. If a single wiimote is turned on it will take player 1, even if the WUP was already active as player 1, they seem to work together the WUP becomes the wiimote 1's "classic controller". In order to get a WUP (or classic controller) as player 2, I need to activate a second Wiimote to coincide with the second WUP(or classic controller).

I understand this issue is not resolvable, but I thought I'd just report my findings as tested with SNESGX. Regardless, playing emulators with the WUP is outstanding!

The WiiSX download doesn't do anything for me. It goes to the anonfiles website. Then I click download and I'm taken to a blank page.

I have found the download on gc-forever but that build doesn't seem to be working with the Wii U Pro Controller. I'm able to use the controller to change settings around, but it is unresponsive in Crash Bandicoot 3. Also, WiiSX shows that I have 2 classic controllers plugged in. I know the classic controller icon is used for the WUP controller as well. But why 2 active controllers? Help.

Hi, pardon my ignorance but I can't get to the Wii's settings menu so I can sync my WUPC controller. I only see 'Save Data' and 'Channels' available when I press 'Options'. Thanks.

quote:
2. How can I sync my WUPC (Wii U Pro Controller) so that I can use it in vWii homebrew?
Go to the Wii system menu, press the red sync button on the Wii, then press the red sync button on the WUPC; after that it should disconnect on its own. To test if it synced or not, try turning your Wii on and off with the WUPC, it should work.

Anyone working on Wii U pro controller support for Retro-Arch?

afaik, no. i asked about it earlier this year when devolution had it working and they said they were too busy to research what needed to be done but if someone else did it they would implement it in a release. dont know if they are still too busy or not. i just popped over to the retroarch forums and looks like people are currently asking for hid-complient controller support.

i tried playing warioland 2 on the VBA GX port and as soon as he wakes up at the beginning of the game the game resets every single time? warioland 1 works though.
