Picked up two red/blacks at Best Buy price matched to Target @ $170. Both SW1279 on 4.5.0-10 in a 2012 box.

Ebay is selling New Discontinued Midnight purple 3DS consoles for $120. The Midnight purple was discontinued in 2012 according to wiki so does that guarantee they are 4.5 or below? Comes with a 20 in 1 kit also. They are GOING FAST

5.0 didnt get pushed out till march 2013 so... This could be a gold mine for anyone who hasnt got a 4.5 console maybe. If it comes with something higher then just return it.

I have already ordered a blue 3DSXL from amazon italy and it came with 6.x firmware !

I think the seh 10119 would be the best because of the really low number...

SEH1011 and SEF111 below 4.5. SEF118 higher than 4.5 (Probably 6.0 or 6.1).

Ordered a new Monster Hunter 3DS Xl Bundle online. This bundle never got "reprinted/made" as far as I know, so I can be pretty sure that it'll come with 4.5, right?

Does anyone know where I can try to get a 4.5 3DS XL in Southern California? I recently picked up the 3DS XL Mario Party Island Tour for ~150 + 45 store credit, but I wanted to try decrypting some stuff. For the one I just bought, the serial was SW40XX and the firmware is 6.2.0U.

Not in Clai ( UK) but I trawled eBay, asking each seller that had one at a good price to check the firmware for me, managed to get an XL with Mario Kart pre installed and on 4.3 for £92, and sold one of my 9.x.x.x consoles for £100 including postage on a UK forum, so worked out well, you could try asking, if they don't reply you haven't really lost anything

Tesco in the UK have the White Nintendo 3DS Xl with Super Mario 3D Land - Limited Edition in stock for £150

These apparently come with the 4.3 firmware.

Just a heads up for anyone who wants to update them to 4.5, I'm personally waiting for the Gateway to release the update for later 9.x firmwares however.

They do come with 4.3 as I bought one, also use code TDX-7KPG to get another £10 off, has to be a first purchase to use the code so you can set up with a new email address to redeem it, you can keep the bank and address also your name the same

I ordered my Black 3DS XL from Tesco a week or so ago.

Copyright 2012 on box, Came with 4.5.0-10E.

Gateway card arrived this morning so i have lots of work to do after the little man goes to bed tonight

I never expected Tesco would have such old stock, if 9.x support wasn't coming soon from Gateway i would be tempted to get one.
