has anyone actually played the game for what it is? I wouldn't mind trying out the game besides the exploit

the game is absolutely terrible
The game will never go below the price it was originally at ($5) because of its capabilities. So far, it's literally the only game that has an executable exploit in it that works on current firmware. The price will go below the $50 it was at, but when it drops below $10, then it would have made sense to hold out. However, thinking the game would drop in price after an exploit was announced makes (like, honestly) literally no sense.

I shall throw my name into the hat I suppose. 
The only thing interesting I would have to say is that while playing the Delta Episode in Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, I had my level 58 Roselia out against a level 80 Deoxys. I had gotten his health down to the red using a different pokemon (I'll try and not be very specific on the details to prevent spoiling folks) and Roselia was the only pokemon I had on my team to inflict a status condition on it. (she had sleep powder)
I switched her in and SHE SURVIVED A HYPER BEAM FROM A LEVEL 80 DEOXYS!! She lived with 20 something HP and came through with the Sleep Powder. Caught him on my first attempt with a Ultra Ball.
Technically it was my second attempt as I had thrown a Quick Ball at him the first turn as I always do with encounters.
I went and bought her a Royal Ribbon from Mauville City for 100,000 pokedollers for her achievement. She's the little flower that could! I already loved that pokemon, but I had even more respect for her after she lived that Hyper Beam.
And for those wondering, yes I could have evolved her to a Roserade, but I just love the design and animations for Roselia better. I find the way she dances about during her idle animation cute. She had a Calm nature and was indeed holding a Eviolite. Sure Roselia might have better stats, but Roselia can still hold her own in battle.
I kept her on my team from the beginning. Started out at level 5. I even used her while trying to catch Kyogre. She even lived a critical hit Ice Beam from a primal Kyogre! And she just eats up Origin Pulse like it's nothing.
The move set I have on her is Giga Drain, Sludge Bomb, Attract, and Sleep Powder. She even puts in work in wifi battles. One time she held on with 2HP after getting hit by a flamethrower from a mega Manectric.
My motto is, if it's not STAB, she's not dying! (STAB = Same Type Attack Bonus. If you aren't a pokemon player you wouldn't know what that means. )
