Hardware Are you getting the New Nintendo 3DS?

For this, it is a possibility.
I really want to play this Japanese game but recent news say that Nintendo is currently reviewing on the region lock thing.

Oh well... I'll make a topic discussing that. Anyway, like I said, it's a possibility that I'll get a NEW 3DS.

I'd like to hear something more solid on that. Iwata just said "While we have not decided whether we will unlock them or not, we do recognize that it is an issue that needs to be considered in the future." http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=922801

It's unfortunate considering the Nintendo DS wasn't region locked. But, I hope Nintendo makes a region unlock possible via update for current hardware vs. releasing entirely new hardware without region locking.

Woo, just picked up a New 3DS XL in metallic blue (yey for living in Australia!) It's pretty awesome, except for the fact that it's an absolute fingerprint magnet >.<

Currently owning a 3ds xl, but I will probably buy the new 3ds xl(ll), that way me and my wife can play some games together. It wasn't worth it to buy another 3ds over, but if the new 3ds gets some decent games that use the upgraded specs, sure. Just waiting for the US-release, since I current one is a us-one. Will have to wait a while, but on the positive side by the time I buy it there might be some games that take advantage of the new 3ds specs.

Has anyone found a good side-by-side comparison of the screen size for old 3DS vs. New 3DS vs. (New) 3DS XL/LL? Still deciding which one to go for. I love the exchangeable kisekae/cover plates though I'm not sure I want to sacrifice screen real estate for that.

edit2: okay here, screen size comparison:

so according to this guy the N3DSXL has the same screen size as an old XL, but the N3DS screen is a little bit bigger than the old 3DS screen

Yup! Waiting for my Australian New 3DS from Play-Asia... Currently seems out of stock for regular model (they have XLs in stock).

It comes with a 4GB SD card included.

Play-Asia ships from China to France/Germany then to UK btw. Mines in Germany right now.

You paid the tax though, 365games price is higher than other importers since they bulk buy to their warehouse and then post so they can pay customs all in one.

I paid £170 delivered for mine on 365games

Play Asia is £165.40 + 20% tax = £198.48 + if royal mail deliver it they will also charge £12 handling fee, and you have to pay delivery from play Asia, you are looking at at least £210 +

That's £40.48 cheaper then getting it from play Asia
