Gateway normally spoofs the firmware already. You DO NOT need emunand or update emunand to required firmware.
The only exceptions to this are games/apps requiring 8.x (ie. smash, youtube) which actually require emunand 8.1 or above.

Still holding onto the opinion that avoiding EmuNAND seems somewhat useless.

I've been using emunand and online since I got my Gateway no problem. It's really not that scary.
So i updated emunand and tried out Smash brothers, not my type of game. So in the future if there are no games that I want that require emunand, can I remove emunand? (mainly because my sd card is slow..) is it just format emunand?
Had a follow up question about my Smash inquiries. If I bought a Powersaves Pro, would I be able to eventually just apply codes to unlock characters (on a retail cart)? I'm just playing the game now, but I don't want to reunlock these characters when I buy a physical copy next week or so.
powersaves wont work on newer retails carts (basically anything that requires 6.x+) if played in gateway classic mode

just to clarify something. If I use the same header with 2 different games, my save wont work?

I dumped my Madden football header
Use that header with scene dump of pokemon x and y both
but since I am using the same header, they will create same save file?
Or is it ok to use same header with different games?

Could anyone give me a TLDR of the last month or two of news?
i remember reading a bit about a homebrew channel being release, just googled it and saw some posts from a month ago saying it would be released within a week. i take it its been delayed?
I just picked up my 3DS for the new SSB. any news on being safe to update for that homebrew channel? I take it DSTwo is still compatible / has a firmware update.
Also, i'm guessing no news about Gateway being compatible with recent firmware, right?

1. You don't need to go into classic mode to use the blue card
2. No, loading ds mode resets the exploit
I see, thats why i asked about classic mode. I thought that maybe in classic mode i could bypass the fact that DS mode resets the exploid. But this clarifies it. Thanks.
