Ok, some of you will remember my situation from before in this thread >> http://gbatemp.net/threads/i-need-s...-about-to-lose-it.351612/page-23#post-4913506

A lot has been changing. Michele and I have a new baby. Our relationship is the best I have ever had. We have a great family.

The IRS recently seized my fathers house and kicked my sister to the curb (karma sucks). His house is up for auction. The info on the auction is here >> http://www.treasury.gov/auctions/irs/benh_real_7502.htm

I don't have that kind of money, but his house means the world to me. I need to find out how to get it. They are asking for a $40,000 deposit to even bid on it with a minimum bid of $240,000.

Michele's mom is basically giving us the house we are living in now, the only reason why it is not in our names is because our credit is not good, otherwise it is ours to do whatever we want with. This house appraised for about $200,000 with about $160,000 left to pay on the note.

I seriously don't care if I have to sell my organs or even give up me own life, as long as I can secure this house for my family because it means so much to me.

We don't have much in liquid cash... actually none at all.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm not all that knowledgeable on real estate stuff or things on loans or whatever so I don't know what my options are. Hell, I don't even know where I can sell my kidneys.

And please, no one leaving stupid comments or anything unhelpful. Like I said, nothing means more to me than this.

I will give you one piece of advice, for the sake of your family don't do anything as stupid as selling a kidney, firstly if you sell one you will seriously fuck up the rest of your life and reduce your lifespan significantly. Secondly one of your kids may actually need a kidney later on down the line so there is that to consider too.

Anyway I am sure you are attached to your fathers house emotionally but like you said you already have a house for your family and that is the most important thing. Saying things like "I will gladly die to get my fathers house" when you have literally just had another baby and have a couple of other kids to support is batshit retarded. Honestly it makes you sound like a fucking idiot who has zero long term thought and consideration for his family. Now people might think that I am being harsh by what I have just said but in my time here I have seen you spout a lot of bullshit like this and I notch this up as just another Deadlyfoez drama.

If people could easily raise $40k we would all have $40k, it sounds to me that you will just have to swallow the fact that you cant get your fathers now and focus on raising your children and perhaps working on actually getting some money so that you can save up enough to get that house a few years down the line.

Despite any delusions you might have over the actual benefit of a piece of property to your kids they would rather have their dad around over any house. Maybe think about the repercussions of the massively retarded things you are saying in the future before you post here and for fucks sake grow the fuck up and try and take responsibility over the long term well being of your family for fucks sake.

Holy hell, that was a bit harsh. From my understanding, saying selling a kidney is just a saying for how desperate one is in a certain situation, monetary wise.

Theres nothing you can do realistically, sorry dude. Your best bet is to concentrate on what you've got. I know its sad to say but sometime shit happens and you just got to get on with life.

If you choose to get a loan (which you shouldn't) you're high risk, if you get one the repayments would be a piss take

Yes p1ngpong, it was rather harsh. To call this "drama" when I rarely ever come around anymore is a little harsh too.

Yes, we have a house. A 3 bedroom house that has 8 people living in it. It is VERY tight for us all with even one child sleeping on an air mattress and another on a couch.

You can get your thoughts and opinions out without sounding like a total jerk. Try being a little more sensitive, especially after all the bullshit that i've gone through.

And if that is too hard for you to do and too hard to keep your negative and down right hurtful and harsh comments to yourself, then just close and delete the thread. I didn't come here asking for a shit show, just some friendly advice from people who may have ideas or are more knowledgeable.

I will take your advice on the kidneys though. I didn't think about my kids needing one in the future. Thanks for the only good bit of info in that whole rant.

IIRC, didn't your fathers house cause some psychological trauma to you after he departed? It in my opinion would be better to leave behind that part of your past that haunts you.

You are absolutely right. I'm sure a big part of it was being all alone in a house that was always so active. Having my family there would negate that from happening again, I am sure.

Unless your a bonafide Grade A Chemistry teacher with knowledge to make Blue Sky, your just gonna have to give up the house. By no sense of the word does this mean your memories of all the good times go along with it. Like you've said, your life is finally on track, you have a wife, children (with another on the way) and your batshit crazy sister is reaping what she sowed. In short, your Life is GOOD right now. Don't fuck it up over a house where the last memories inside it for you were miserable. You have shit credit and no money on hand right now, what does that tell you? Even if you somehow got the money to buy your dad's old house, you would put your new family in poverty over a house your dad killed himself in. Fuck if it was me, I would buy the house just to burn the fucker down so I could get it out of my life for good. When your kids are older just drive by the house and say "Kids, this is where daddy used to live. See that curb over there? That's where your alcoholic auntie puked on before the bank evicted her ass."

Here's a list of 16 things to do to turn your life over after depression. Step 1: Think about what are your priorities in life! Which is more important, your family or father's house?

TL;DR Don't fuck this positive flow of Karma now entering your life over a house. Also, That's just p1ng being p1ng (even though he's kinda right), he's been that way since Densetsu revealed he was Megan Fox.

Our beautiful baby was born August 3rd. She is a doll.

Shit!!! She is pregnant again? Already? LOL.
Yeah. I guess I probably should just give up on the idea for now. Although I will buy a couple of powerball tickets and it we win then it was meant to be.
I do have my family as my priority and I have been working extremely hard here. It will just hurt to see it go and someone else change it all up instead of the way my dad had it. The IRS are very cruel people.
I was really just hoping someone had some good idea on how we might be able to turn the mortgage over from this house we are living in to my dads house with just a little extra cost.
I actually have to get this house appraised because it hasn't been appraised in a long time and there has been a lot of improvements to it, almost a full remodel. That alone will give us a lot of equity. It's strange because the town we live in the houses are way more expensive than the town my dad lived in even though his town is one of the richest towns in the state. Location, location, location.

I got no experience in buying houses.
Pretty much since I also only rented an apartment, and prolly will continue to rent a home for the rest of me life.

Anyway, Foez, how badly you want to save it.
I think it's best to first accept the fact that you already lost it.
It will lessen the blow when you actually do lose it.

Also, don't sell yer organs, I'm sure yer kids want to spend time with you n play football n ask help with their homework n make you proud of what they achieved.
Connecting to the mob for a megaloan would also be a bad idea.
I've got no clue how the American bank's loan system works, but you could try n loan a lot.
Or... try yer luck with 1 quid in a casino (trillion to 1 chance you'll pull out a jackpot) but don't take hastily decisions.
They will never end good.

I always looked up to you lad n I'd hate anything bad happening to you.
But stay strong n keep a sane mind!
I know it's tough at times, but seeing what you already been through, I've got a lot of faith in you!

I know I'm bad when it comes to cheering up people but a lot of people said that I got a neutral opinion and a calm mind at all times.

My bad, I remembered from your post like 4 months ago saying you wanted like 2 more kids/a bigger family with her so i assumed you were trying for another.

If your really dead set on making this money, your options are very limited. You could go to walmart, buy your self some bounty hunter gear and hunt down local criminals for reward money. Or if your really ballsy, you could gather up 10-12 friends, rob something high profile---a Casino, Bank, priceless Jade Egg surrounded by tripwire heat seeking lasers, etc---but that chances of that happening are rather slim so...

The IRS agents or as I like to call them, the Incredibly Reduce your Salary agents may seem mean now but like Meter maid cops, janitors and people who recycle waste, someone has to do it eventually or the economy comes to a standstill. Besides, the WORSE thing you could do would be trying to flip your house. You don't know how many fucking idiots thought they could flip houses after watch Property Brothers on the House Network and ended up homeless.

On a side note: Why did you leave the toaster/coffe maker?

I didn't get a chance to get my stuff, like my stove and fridge. The sheriffs came in june and forcibly kicked my sister out. I didn't find this out until august. No one is allowed in the house now. I did still have a lot of my stuff in there and I have no clue of what my sister did with any of it. I was told by the police that the IRS just took everything else out and who knows what they did with it. I am just accepting the fact that I will never get that stuff back.

Hey Foez,

I'm very sorry to know what's going on with your father's house. I was wondering of how you were recently.
Glad to know you and your family are doing great. With what conditions are going on at the moment, I'm not sure what there is to do... Your wife, and children need you, so don't leave them, obviously. Claiming that property seems very hard in your condition. Perhaps open something on change.org? REMEMBER, focus on your family. Nowadays, women and men just leave their children alone because of their financial stress or other stress. Don't do that. You have a beautiful family. I do agree, p1ng's words were very worded cruelly, however he could have been more nicer.
Hang in there, but consider the change.org thing, people may have your story touch their hearts.
Take care!

How can change.org help? To ask for money or to get the IRS to do something else?
The IRS and the way that they harassed my father is what brought him to the point of suicide. It's a long story, but ultimately they were responsible because they took advantage of an accounting mistake on their end and didn't inform him of the mistake until MANY years later after they decided that he owed them over a million. This is why I don't trust the government.

True..
It sickens me of how these officials act. I'm not sure what there is to do now.. Maybe a loan? Take a loan where you can pay it off later. You have a good statement record, right?

is your fathers house the best deal? I think I heard it from Suze Ormnan once that you should never get attached to a specific house when buying a house. But you actually lived in this house, so its understandable that your be attached to it.

I know it's not an ideal situation but I'm happy to hear you saying things like this. Never lose sight of what is most important. I have no doubt your family can thrive even in tough times as long as you stick together and support each other. Your dad's house I know is important to you, but even more important is your home, which is wherever your fam is (or my place, my door is always open to you). Anyways, anything more I have to say I'll text you about but I wanted to post this for 2 reasons, to reinforce your mature behaviour of accepting the situation, and also to let u know that I'm following this thread.

Sounds you have a decent place to live and a happy family. you need to understand you have something good and you will have to sacrifice something because, like myself and many others here, you are probably not very wealthy. Don't cry about how you can't buy the house you have always wanted. Cry because you have great children, a good woman and a decent roof over your head.

I live in a shitty 3 bedroom mobile home but I like my job and I have a great family. Yes I get upset that I cannot buy a house anytime soon but in the end SO FUCKING WHAT?! Enjoy what you have.
