On a Wii U is possible to partition a external hard drive?

Party in FAT32 (to use with the GeeXboX) and part in WBFS (for use with USB Loader)?

WiiU uses its own format with NO partition. it's encrypted and you can't read/write/change the content of the drive.

vWii (Wii mode on wiiU) can use external HDD with partition. You can partition ALL in FAT32.
WBFS is not needed since ... 2010!
don't use WBFS format, it's outdated and corrupt games. FAT32 and NTFS are working fine with Wii games and USBLoaders.

You can't use the same hard drive for both WiiU and vWii.

There's no Game size limitation, if a game is bigger than 4GB, the game is split in two files and it's working fine with USBLoaders.

To split a game, you need to dump the disc using an USBLoader, or install/convert the ISO to your HDD using WiiBackupManager.

NTFS doesn't work with HBC, and a lot of homebrew need FAT32.
Use FAT32 with 32k/cluster and everything will work :)

Thank you for your help,

Everything is working fine.

Just wanted to clarify two things:

Is there any way to permanently solve the issue that appears when we turn on the WiiU and asks if we want to format the USB device? Or we have to say no every time?

When running a game in Usb Loader Gx, is there any way to exit the game to the main menu of Gx, or whenever we go out is for the Wii menu?

Thank you

Nintendo does not sell or produce these external hard drives. What is their reason for encryption of its contents. An inexperienced user or child could connect a hard drive with important files and then have to use an expensive data recovery program or service to get them back.

Yes you can, i think its in settings then loader settings, there is an option that says "return to" it is from here you can choose usb loader GX.
