Luckily, last night I saw the eshop in maintenance so I set the standby updates off. Can someone please tell me the IPS to block and how I go about doing that? I am on 5.1.0

I discovered that now my router blocks specific URLs.
Plus, to make it worse, my router doesn't block IP addresses.
Even more, the "balanced" URLs found on the ip block thread doesn't work for me, because this morning, I received the popup for installing the update (I clicked "Later").
Now, does anybody got an updated list of URLs to block?
By the way, my router can block URLs up to 40 characters.

I just powered on my Wii U in vWii Mode and back to Wii U, went to System Settings and saw I was at 5.1.0. So I just deleted the Wifi settings and disabled standby modes. Is there a way to get to the Browser Exploit locally?
Or is it save to add Wi-fi again via the System Settings and turn off when done?

my wii u autoupdated to 5.1.1, oh well, i kinda want the wiikeyu anyway. i like my xkey and the simplicity. im tired of softmods and having to deal with the drama of devs. i still have a wii u on 5.1.0 that doesnt have the tablet controller so ill hold onto that one in case something nice comes out.
Only problem is that without a softmod to dump your drive key you won't be able to use any ODE device.
I think ODE devices attack drive firmware itself like X360 drive.
It would be foolish for ODE group to rely on browser exploit.
it relies on the keys WiiKeyU already hacked WiiU but aren't releasing any of their exploits for obvious reasons he was saying softmods is what actually makes WiiKeyU dump the Drive Keys which r needed to 'backup' your games
Just use the update on MK8's disc and you're good to go for homebrew, plus it can't install without your knowledge
you should be able to update to 4.1.0 (not 5.1.1) from the mario kart 8 disc , WARNING delete all internet settings before disc updating (failure to do so will result in an update to 5.1.1 instead of 4.1.0
To spoof drive you need the drive specific key and reverse engineer drive firmware.
Wii U kernel exploit is not always necessary for ODE.
Look at Xbox scene before freeboot. You can dump drive key with a PC.
ok Xbox isn't WiiU the security measures are much more secure and its currently not possible to dump your keys with a mac or pc

X360 OS for example looks more secure than Wii U to me. Hypervisor, memory encryption and hashing. efuses to prevent downgrading.
WiiU has 2 hashing encryptions with the espresso and ancast keys, both are needed for the drive key, also you need Vwii Ancast Keys, and Vwii Espresso Keys just to get the WiiU mode (cafe mode) Esspresso Keys and Ancast Keys. heres a list of what is needed just to get just the drive key itself

f0f released hashes of keys which are used for decrypting executables afaik. These keys are not needed for ODE.

Uh...no. Hashes are just used to uniquely identify a piece of data without being the data itself. For signing executables, you need Nintendo's private key.
