Hey guys, I have wiiflow 4.0 running awesome with every major emulator but i am struggling with gc backups. I have nintendont loaded but it only loads games from sd and wont read from a usb. Also i have Dios Mios 2.0 but it wont read my Gc back ups on a usb either. I have the gc games on a Fat(32) usb stick in a "Games" folder and converted my gc iso files using DiscEX. My goal is to be able to play gc back ups off a usb (instead of my current sd) or external hard drive so that I can store alot more since a SD card does not offer that much space.

Any Help or ideas would be awesome from one gamer to another. Thanks!

I used DMToolbox (comes with Dios Mios) to make a 1:1 ISO and it works fine (besides Wind Waker which broke on me mid-game). Try going to the WiiFlow Home with your USB in the first slot, selecting "File Explorer", and navigating to where your discs are located on the USB. Then try to open them. If that doesn't work, could you upload a screenshot of what the USB root looks like so we can see how you formatted it?

Your folder is named incorrectly I think; the best way to do it is to name it "Game_Title [GAME_ID]". Assuming that is Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, in this case it would be named "Paper_Mario [G8ME01]".

id also go ahead and download DIOS MIOS 2.11. without it you will be in a lot of pain with that USB stick of yours. prior to 2.11 load times are DRASTICALLY slower on usb sticks/sd cards versus a regular HDD. I also advice getting the Gamecube ISO tool made by the guys who did the wii backup manager. you can get it here http://www.wiibackupmanager.co.uk/gcit.html once the program is open just hit file/add iso then locate your iso. then hit file/extract/discex format and point it to your usb:/games folder. it will create everything including folder names perfectly. im not too familiar with wiiflow but depending on your TV you have to have the correct video settings in the loader options enabled. if your TV can deconde PAL games than i think everything set to auto SHOULD work. if not, then PAL games should be set to FORCE NTSC and NTSC games should remain on auto. if wiiflow is giving you trouble try Configurable USB Loader. i know you probably already have your loader of choice, but the loader can be at fault in certain situations. for example USB Loader GX cannot Force NTSC on PAL games, it just wont do it. but CFG loader can. so unfortunately you may have to switch loaders. do some testing

that is not a 32kb cluster,
you are told everywhere to format a drive using a 32kb cluster. that means, allocation unit size must be 32xx (dont remember the other 2 numbers)

and please use DMToolbox inside dios mios folder to copy your games, it will copy them to the right folder.

Sorry for the late response guys, but thanks for all your ideas! I figured it out, turns out for all you wiiflow users who have interest in the masterpack by ALZ that nintendont can only run off a sd card which sucks bc fat32 partition can only go up to 32gs. That being said once I dl CFG as you guys suggested runs DiosMios ran like a charm. Thanks again guys!

On a side note if anyone else has struggled for space there is a program called Gc Utility, it compresses your gc iso file into like half or less of what the file was and preps it for DMtoolbox conversion to save lots of space :D

WHAT? are you still living in the 80s?

FAT32 can support up to 16T depending on your cluster size though Wii homebrews can't go that high but still in TB range.
nintendont is in rapid development, I don't think any pack can keep up with it. USB support has been added for quite some time.

Sorry I should have been more clear, I meant Fat32 is only up to 32g on a sd card read by the wii bc SDXC (anything after 32g) has formatting issues in my experience at least. Nintendont being able to play off a usb is actully news to me though, Every pack ive tryed with "the newest version of nintendont" seems to lack the option to switch from sd to usb in wiiflow, perhaps it is a program that needs to be booted through a different loader such as DiosMios did?

You would need the latest version of usbloaders (Wiiflow, usbloadergx etc) and of course latest version of Nintendont
Pls check their respective sticky threads here and Ninitendont in the WiiU forum

you need to switch wiiflow to make appear games in sd. or use nintendont .dol (it should happear in homebrew channel) and boot it, the first thing will happear is nintendont asking to select either usb or sd card.

Thanks Yea i deleted wiiflow and reloaded it and realized it did ask me for nintendont if i want to boot usb or sd. Im not sure why but when you change the option to sd you are unable to change the load back to usb. Also I used easeUS partion to format my 128g micro sd card to Fat32 by placing tape over the side knotch and unlocking the opposite side. If anyone is looking for a larger Sd card this method works awesome and it only cost me $18 on ebay for the ADATA micro sd.

SylverReZ @ SylverReZ: Also nice. Never really watched Fallout on Prime, but sounds like a good show. +1
