Hi all,

I'm using USB Loader CFG for a few years now, but due to a sdcard crash i had to redownload everything.
So i googled and downloaded the lastest version of CFG.

But this version looks a bit odd to me, it seems like the version i had for years was newer than the one i just downloaded !?

I found a screenshot of the one i used to have:
3c564a5fnature3d.png

As in this picture there is written 'USB Loader + config mod', where in my current version it's just 'CFG USB Loader'

Is this just a theme or a different version? and does anyone know where i can download it?

Thanks in advance

trying to rune nintendont through cfg loader since the last revision added support to it. cant figure out how to get the memory card to work, and also it seems nintendont doesnt accept the force ntsc option for PAL games. it just freezes on launch if this option is enabled

Nintendont does not use real memory cards, it will only emulate them.

I recently reformatted my usb drive to NTFS so that i could download Metroid Prime Trilogy (a whopping 8 gb). Unfortunately, now every time I plug in my USB to my Wii, the cfg usb loader freezes and i have to hold the power button to shut off the wii. Also, i have tried adding the following to my meta.xml , but it did not fix the problem.

<arguments>
<arg>ios = 248</arg>
<arg>ntfs_write = 1</arg>
<arg>fat_split_size = 0</arg>
</arguments></app>

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You dont need ntfs to handle metroid prime trilogy. You can backup it and convert it to wbfs. Use wii backup manager (it will split the game in 4GB parts - and it will work fine on usb loaders - but you should use fat32). Also, usb loaders as far as I know, work best with fat32 - also other homebrews...

To fix cfg usb loader and make it to run - use this guide: http://gwht.wikidot.com/usb-loader

Redo the steps and you will be fine.

can you go a little more in depth how to use wii backup manager to split the game up? it is already .wbfs format but its size is a little under 8 gb

This is done automatically when you transfer a game to a FAT32 drive using "Wii Backup Manager". In other words, you have to install the game USING Wii Backup Manager.

Quick note to Wii U users - make sure to use Beta53 of the vWii version of d2x, and not Beta52. Beta52 is generally unstable with CFG USB Loader.

Quick question: Is it possible to set Nintendon't as the default loader for GC games in cfg usb loader, or do I have to enter the settings for every single GC game I have and set the games boot option to Nintendon't? I searched the forum and google and traversed through the settings menus of CFG itself but only found the option for forcing GC games to load via Devolution. Maybe it's like with the path for emu nand, which can't be set from the loader itself but can be added as a string in the form of "nand_emu_path=xyz" to the config file? If it matters, I'm using CFG Loader mod r75.

Long story short: How to set the default loader for gamecube games in CFG?

Even if nobody knows the answer, pointing me in the right direction of a place where such info could be found would also help

I think the default loader will be the first loader installed in this order: 1: DM(L), 2: Devo, 3:Nintendont. I.E. if you have a "stock" MIOS on your real NAND and you don't have the loader.bin file in your "[device]:/usb-loader/" folder, the default loader will be Nintendont. If you want to confirm, why don't you send a PM to Howard?

Whenever I attempt to load with nintendont using cfg, it always loads NHL Hitz, regardless of what game I pick. Works fine if I use the native app instead of a loader.

Any help?

I've installed HBC to my Wii U as well as d2x cIOSes / CFG USB Loader MOD beta71. Games runs perfectly from the my WD My Passport 2Tb, attached by the Y-cable. But I've encountered one issue - can't use EmuNAND option as on every start the CFG throws me an error "ERROR Mount! (ret = -6) Can't load Emu. NAND" & continue loading game using the internal vWii's NAND. There are these strings in the CFG's config.txt:
Code:
covers_path = usb:/covers
nand_emu_path = usb:/nand
And covers are loading fine, but not the Emu NAND.

HDD have the one partition in a FAT32 file system 32kb cluster's size. It's working well when unhidden using UStealth on my old Wii including emu NAND function.

Can anyone tell what may be a root of this problem, please?

added: Forgot to mention - I use different NAND for my Wii U dumped on it by the CFG. Also tried v52 & v53 d2x cIOSes.

added2: Have tried a different drive - the Transcend USB 16Gb flash stick - result is the same. As well as for the non-UStealthed partition.

The v71 beta is a fork of the program in volation of the licence aggrement in that after numerous requests the author refuses to release his source code. For just about anything done in the last 3 years, how it handles configuration is different, what bugs were fixed is different, what new features were added is different, how features were implimented is different. While I would like the authour to release his source so some of his changes can be included in the program, Until he does this board has a policy of banning for linking to software that is in violation of licence aggrements. The only one that can help you with that software is the author. I sugest you contact him directly.
