It should be the latest drivers. No clue how to verify that, though.

For some reason it doesn't always work. My mac address is now stuck on 4E:53:50:4F:4F:42 and I can't make it go to 4E:53:50:4F:4F:43, and I'm doing the exact same thing as I was doing to get the previous ones.

"macshift -i Wi-Fi 4E53504F4F43" in a shell, doesn't changes it anymore no matter how many restarts I do.

If I try to manually disable then re-enable wi-fi card, it stays stuck on Disabled until I reboot (said reboot taking forever, usually ending in me holding the power button because it's taking an unusually long time.)

And THEN after like 2-3 reboots it finally changes to the mac address I had chosen initially.

Edit: it looks like changing the mac address only works if I run the command as an admin. However, this crashes my Wi-Fi card, forcing me to reboot (and manually power off because it hangs at some point)

How many downloads is MacCycle at? If it's not close to 20,000, is there a chance of us getting a start cycling when the program starts and a loop cycle function?

It's at around 16000 ;D

Edit: I was wrong. It's at 17367 downloads.

I could probably add a loop cycle feature, that wouldn't be hard to implement. But a start cycling when application starts could be an issue for some people, especially if it crashes for them and it doesn't reset itself, making the program crash the computer on execution (Granted, you could delete the settings file, but that'd remove all settings...). I don't plan on adding that for that reason.

this sounds to me like a driver problem try looking for newer drivers.

You keep telling me to try looking for newer drivers, but you never tell me how I would do that.

The Device Manager tells me the driver for it was up to date and Google is useless.

i keep telling you that cause we dont know what device your using. google your exact name of your wifi device, wifi card or wifi usb and type in "latest drivers" for your operating system then install them. its well know that windows doesnt download the latest drivers for all devices. sorry i wasnt more clear before

That's exactly what I'm doing. Googled "Broadcom 802.11ac Network Adapter latest drivers", no dice

I mean, it lets me change the Mac address, the only thing is that it shuts the card down and I have to manually power off to reboot, at which point everything works as intended.

(Yes, laptop wifi card.)

I'll probably have to get my hands on a WiFi USB dongle for this purpose, I'll have to get one to switch Mac addresses for the Pokémon event things anyway.

ok, a bit of a noob question here
but
my wired modem is also my wi-fi hotspot ( Technicolor TD 5130 )
my desktop pc recognizes both as a single connection but it has a different mac address to each connection, so when I use MACycle, it only changes the MAC address of the wired connection

and I have no clue on what to do, anyone had the same issue, or knows something I could try?

I'm using windows 7 x64
the wi-fi connection doesn't appear on the network connections, only on the modem settings

I managed to set this up and am receiving streetpasses from mii plaza, animal crossing etc. just fine, but when it comes to tomodachi life, even though i come across a crap ton of people playing the game, i haven't gotten a single streetpass from tomodachi life so far. i checked with other people on reddit and they seem to be getting them just fine, any idea what could be the problem at all?

I can't streetpass anymore :/
I used this program successfully months ago with the bravely default demo but now I can't get a single streetpass, and I can't remember exactly what I did to make it work.
the 3ds connects successfully to attwifi (it says "streetpass" at the top left). is it sufficient to put the 3ds in sleep mode and click on "start", after setting up the attwifi connection? I'm pretty sure it was as simple as that, but I get no streetpasses...

also, something I can't find an answer for: what do I have to do to use a mac address for a specific game? where do I have to put it in the program?

another thing: does the wifi light of the 3ds change color when it gets a streetpass? I think it does, but I don't remember. it's not changing, this time (= no streetpasses, I guess).

thanks for the help.

edit: neverminddd!!!! I somehow had the wrong passkey set in the 3ds' connection since from back then. I chose "wpa2something" (the last one) and put "password" and now it works.

A more general question here. Can I get Japanese streetpass hits using this software? Do I have to add special MAC addresses? Thanks.
