Meh, either this crashes for me with no$Gba 2.6 all the time, or it freezes everything entirely with 2.7.
Guess I'm out of Luck to play this.=/
I know this happened before with Tale of two Towns, no idea how I got that to work though.>.>

I am not sure, if bios files are needed, but encrypting is needed with no$gba.

Using desmume is less hassle.

i have the exact same problem as this but the difference is after i use no$gba (from the link given by drwhojan) the text appears to be like this
pSjSnf9.png

i wonder what happen?

That text problem was easily fixed for me after I put in the nds bios and firmware that hackotedelaplagu suggested, the odd graphics jumping is still there however.

I'm playing through this right now. I have to give credits to the team that has been working hard on this. The quality is amazing, above the level of Capcoms own translations I would say! I like how you seem to have tried to translate the culture-specific jokes as well.

So far the only "error" I have come across is in episode 2 during first chess session, with Elbird. It is mentioned that he is "well trained", I believe this should be "well-trained" with a dash. Not sure if you want to fix tiny errors like these, but the fact that this is all I've found thus far already shows you've done a great job. Thanks for not making me miss out on this game in one of my favourite series!

As I mention, you can give the AR Cheat a try and see if fixes text garbage.

no$gba F2 , add new / add code copy , paste / Action Replay DS tick, RAW format Tick , OK and save all.

If a missing dash is the only mistake they have made, it would still beat by a mile the official translations of PW2-3.
Not to mention the iOS HD version. Wow, I can't even start to count the amount of oddities I've encountered in that. Repeating text, text not said by the right person, grammar mistakes on the buttons (multiple choices), sound issues (the audience couldn't stop their 'blablaing' sound for a whole scene, at some point the text scroll sound disapeared...), and so on.

I had to make an account here so that I could thank you guys for making this. This is amazing work, and it is so good to see such dedicated people actually finishing this kind of large project, it must have been hard! Thanks a lot!

Now, I do have a slight problem, though. I can't seem to get rid of the Anti Piracy no matter what I try. I have read this entire tread and tried every mentioned way to solve it at least three times, but I still get only gibberish when I try playing. What am I doing wrong? I am using No$GBA 2,7, and I did get the patched rom to run (also the one with the AP patch), but nothing seems to get rid of the unreadable text...

Try using Desmume 0.9.9? I think that was the right version, at least.

Huh, that actually worked. I had been trying to use the 0.9.10 version, and that one did not work, but the 0.9.9 one did. I don't know what was up with the other emulator though. Anyway, thanks!

Oh the text is fine, (added the cheat regardless), but the odd sprite animation glitch is still there.

Might just be the Emulation then As DeSmuME is better but slower they are Git versions of DeSmuME might be faster 4 you.

Some like this site, some don't : http://www.emucr.com/search/label/NDS?&max-results=12

The AP issues was the text, I dough't sprite are a part of the AP.

Sorry 4 your issues on this, hope others can help you.

When i run on the latest version of Desmume, It's slow. I only get 40/60 FPS and slow sound. But my computer has fast cpu and 680 GTX card....

I got a freeze in the second case at the end of the chess game with
Frank Sahwit
. I had just won the battle, and then the DS froze and wouldn't react to any button presses at all. This is on an Acekard 2 running AKAIO 1.8.9 without any cheats, soft reset or other options applied.

If a missing dash is the only mistake they have made, it would still beat by a mile the official translations of PW2-3.

I completely agree, which is why I'm so impressed. Like I said, the official translations are way worse, here I have to nitpick to find anything at all. The graphics are also done really nicely, with a lot of attention to detail. Even in backgrounds, everything is translated. This doesn't look hacky at all, this could be in stores. Again, great work!

I am a little late to the party (haven't been to GBATemp, Court-Records or the "official" translation forums in a while, so apologies), but I just wanted to say thanks to every person who contributed to this project in one way or another.
It was fun watching silently from the sidelines as you guys posted updates on the progress you were making.
I know it isn't much, but you made MANY fans (myself included) extremely happy by allowing us to play this great game of this fantastic series in a language most of us can understand.
My hat is off to you awesome lads and ladettes ;)

The game works fine with Desmume 0.9.9.Only a few speedups that weren't suposed to be when you read/examine something for the first time.
I had no freezes,no geberish text or black game.
The game works perfectly on Windows 7 32-bit , with Desmume 0.9.9.
(if the game doesn't work you either are using a crappy rom or dumped one,m or can't follow intruction to patch a rom)
