Hey, I just set up my wii with a 2gb, FAT32 formatted, 32kb cluster SD card and installed the homebrew channel, dios mios lite, dios mios booter, and multimod manager. My iso has also been run through discEx. But whenever I try to boot my game in the dios mios booter, it loads to the dios mios splas screen and then freezes there until I force reboot the wii.
Also, the game file is titled Super Smash Bros. Melee (FSI) on the dios mios booter, even though it's an iso file. Shouldn't it say ISO in parentheses?

I've been struggling with this problem for far too long now, would really appreciate some help. Thanks!

Are you using Dios-Mios? If you are, use Dios-Mios Lite for SD-Cards. Dios-Mios is only for USB devices, while Dios-Mios Lite, is for SD-Cards.

Just out of curiosity but you already tried booting dios mios with a disc (doesn't matter what it is) on the wii?

I can run gamecube games and wii games the normal way -- it just brings up a dios mios splash screen before it starts.

I'll try devolution and nintendont and then what master801 suggested.

Devolution did not even pick up on the file at all. it said I had no games, though it's definitely in the games folder.

When I was downloading Nintendont I saw that my XML files are all .xml but they say "File type: Final Cut Pro XML File"
This does not sound right. Can anyone tell me if that's okay?
It's like this on every app.

Nintendont launched it, but it was extremely laggy. and didn't have the mods I put on in gamecube rebuilder. Hmm

Let me try to explain better:
In some wii's with modchips installed, when trying to run DIOS MIOS (doesn't matter if it's USB or SD) it will hang at dios mios splash screen if a disc is not inserted in the drive, could be even a blank DVD disc that it works. TBH i don't now why and how this works but its my case.

Nah I get it. I have a disc in my drive. I've tried none, a gc disc, and a wii disc.

That's just an issue with your Windows installation. It's associated XML files with that particular program. This will only cause problems if you want to open an XML file on that computer in a program other than that. It will not affect how the Wii sees the program (or even how another computer will unless that computer is set up the same way as yours).

Short version: It's okay.
