Thanks, that'll do. I'd already tested them with my DSTWO, but wanted to check if they worked with an ARDS. Seeing as they do, I've pushed the changes to the new version.

The new version is v0.5 and you can find it at the usual place: https://github.com/Prof9/wfcreplay/releases. There is no need to re-generate any codes that already work, but if you do then they will be smaller.

This will probably be the last release for a while, unless any bugs or incompatible games are found.

How did you manage to get this working with a Supercard DSTwo? That is what i use to play my games on.

Fairly sure that's an issue with DeSmuME seeing as it works in my DSTWO, No$gba, as well as an ARDS with retail cart. I'll look into it though.

Which of the thousands of R4i Gold cards do you have?

Is there any way to get the altwfc working without having to set the IP as primary DNS? Can an AR code be generated that inserts the altwfc IP in as the default host, instead of the dead one it already uses?

Not presently, however reading the firmware would be annoying so I imagine the settings are put in memory somewhere. Similarly some homebrew can pull settings from the SD card.

Alternatively you might be able to fiddle with something at local network level, granted that would usually mean you need big boy network hardware (or something like DD-wrt/tomato/openwrt) rather than a little ISP supplied thing.

[graphene's post]No.
There may not be a method presently, it is not that far fetched an idea though.

You could patch the URLs in the ROM, but a DNS redirect is much easier to make automatic patches for. Plus it's easy to switch to a different server that way.

That's the kind of thing I was hoping for. As long as the altwfc takes up the primary DNS, I can't use that method to connect to any of the custom servers I was using on some games before this shutdown. It may be just a pipe dream at this point though, and I'm way too novice to try to do it myself

You could set up your own DNS server on your home network. Something like dnsmasq is easy to set up with custom domain names (or some other one that can run on Windows if you don't have a Linux machine).

You could set multiple network profiles and just change the SSID for the ones you don't want to connect to.

Pikachu025: I've prepared a Mystery Gift distribution schedule which I think should be reasonable. There's one unique Pokémon per month, plus an unlockable game feature if one exists.

My focus is on providing Pokémon that unlock special features ingame (Pikachu Colored Pichu, Movie Regigigas, ...) and on the ones unavailable in normal play. I also avoid giving out extremely rare gifts or gifts which are unavailable on a certain game, so your save should still be "legal."

If this is automated it's probably better to do a very short day/12day cycle instead of a month/year one. Even if someone misses out on what they want it'd still be back in 12 days. I'd suggest hourly but between work and sleep I can 12 hour mirroring still being unavailable for some people.
