On Mario Advanced Super Mario Bros. 3 I have sound issues and on Mario Advance Mario World I have black backgrounds on levels. Anything I can do to fix it?

is it normal for the battery to be drained really fast without using it. I didn't play the revo101 for a day and when i turned it on the indicator shows it was red.
I am pretty sure that my battery was full before the last time i turned it off.

has anyone got that issue with the battery? or is my mine faulty

I'm really tempted to order one of these. Only thing stopping me is the issues you described while charging.
Have you brought this issue up with developer?

I dont have that issues while charging. Figured he has it because his charger delivers too high or too low current. My Revo was shipped with 500 mA charger and it works fine. I know this is the issue because i had similar problem with my tablet which scrolled menu on its own while being charged with wrong amperage. This probably happens because they ship different chargers for people around the world considering power outlets in their country. I am still not sure is it too low or too high current that is issue so:
ANOTHER WORLD if you read this please let me know what is OUTPUT declaration from your charger.

I tried a few different chargers and charging via USB and always had that issue. Ruilong claims it was flux left on the charging solder and that cleaning it would fix the problem. To be honest, I never considered that it could be the amperage. I would need to dig out the chargers I used and see if they have any writing on them. 2 of them were generic chinese chargers, 1 was shipped with the revo and the other with another similar system. The 3rd I used was shipped with my old Nomad Zen Micro MP3 player, and it is the one I use to charge most things. If I have some time later tonight I'll dig everything up and see what they say on them.

I would like to ask, since the battery is a Nokia clone (whose model I don't remember now) could I use an original Nokia battery as a replacement eventually? I would also hope we could get the source or any means to upgrade the firmware.

yes, they are both batteries of same dimensions, same voltage and same connection.
and it is easy to replace it, just unscrew, replace battery and screw back, no soldering.
Nokia BL-58battery, cheap, on ebay 4$

*update:
i'm sorry, it is not Nokia BL-58 batery, it is Nokia BL-5B battery

Got this email from [email protected] today:

"Thank you for your email.

We are very sorry that we still do not get the latest firmeware for the factory.

Once we we have it, we will post it on our site.

Thanks."

I wrote and asked them about a possible save-fix.

the K101 save problem has been solved and new firmware has been updated.

http://kteam.ys168.com/ K101_K_FW_2014-04-22(PID00620601).rar (save bug fixed)

For older firmware, when the power shut down in game and the green LED turn off, if you hold the power button for 2 ~ 3 seconds , there will not be a save problem(Some TF's speed is too low, it cause saving issues) . This is a theoretical basis for new firmware to solve the save problem.

That's some good work. Time to bust out the ole K101. :D

EDIT: May we re-upload it to FileTrip?

in game -> press power off button -> TF dump save -> power down -> low speed TF lose sector data -> save file be damaged randomly

in game -> press power off button -> TF dump save -> delay 1 second for power down -> low speed TF write sector data -> save file is good

Wow! That was unexpected! :D

These instructions still work:

"1. Download the firmware update file "K_FW.bin"
2. Copy "K_FW.bin" to your TF card and be sure to put the file under root directory
3. Keep pressing and holding the SELECT button and switch on your device's Power switch
4. You will see the following message shown on the screen:

New firmware loaded.
B: Abort & test firmware
START: Update firmware to SPI

5. Press "START" button to update Or Press "B" button to quit and test the new firmware

6. If you choose "START", you will see the following message:

Updating SPI...
K_FW.BIN

7. When finished, please switch off and then power on your device again.
8. Everything should be done now.
(9. If something wrong, repeat the update procedure again.)"

I'm looking for a device to play Pokemon Red, Emerald, TCG and Megaman Battle Network. Either the GCW Zero or Revo K101.

Should I spend $70 for the Revo or double for the Zero?

We suggest you Revo k101 as it is more worthwhile. Revo K101 is the SOC hardware for GBA games.
