After looking at Cyan's post, I was looking at the NFO's by BigBlueBox and saw that Senran Kagura Burst has C2 F8 02 90. I haven't seen the third one different than 00 so far so I just wanted to let you guys know.
There are only 3 games thus far that uses card 2 (Pokemon X/Y, Animal crossing)Is there a way to figure out roms' chip IDs? I know FW version and Size can be determined by looking at scene release list, but how about card number(90 or 98)? Should we just try with each card number? It would be helpful if there's a list.

Oh! Does that mean "Card 2" is referring those cartridge using Nand-saving?
Wonder if tomodachi life has online features though. Adding miis through online would be great.Actually, there are four. Tomodachi Life (only available as a Japanese ROM at this moment) is also a card2 title.
I honestly don't know that for certain (I just know that it is a card2 title - useless trivia!). Given the hype how it's being billed like an Animal Crossing/The Sims hybrid, there is a good chance that it has more robust online features than your average title.Wonder if tomodachi life has online features though. It's not the firmware.Is there a way to figure out roms' chip IDs? I know FW version and Size can be determined by looking at scene release list, but how about card number(90 or 98)? Should we just try with each card number? It would be helpful if there's a list.
The byte at offset 0x1240 is the manufacturer ID.
45 = SanDisk
AE = OKI Semiconductor
C2 = Macronix
For anyone wanting a list of BigBlueBox releases with the chip ids...

Well, now we know the firmware has nothing to do with the chip id... but the size does!
I am not sure on why all releases begin with "C2", all from different regions: USA, EUR, JA, KO
Has anybody got a list of games that are 4GB? Thinking of buying for my personal header
I hope someone makes a tool to patch the roms and go online.
