FIX94 would it be possible to modify the code for the cache read so that lines starting with # or // are skipped in the txt? That way we could add a small description of what files are being cached. That would help others to know where to expect improvements in speed.
I was thinking about something like that too
32k tested, since r29 version, cache.txt reboots Wii U, without cache, my controller isn't recognized before freeze 10 seconds...
i think it's my HDD, because days ago worked, suddenly i have this problem since yesterday.
Internet problems... sorryThen, instead of posting again and again to say the same. Get another HDD or try an SD and test to be sure where the problem is.
Thanks for this, works great. Not much response to my previous U-stealth enabled build
Well, here's my personal builds of r35. I still have no idea if it works as I am not at home to be able to try them out, and too few of you tell me if they are working or not.

Please, if you download and try it out report here if it is working or not so I know if I should continue to supply builds in the future or not.
Also a "thank you" would be nice
i just tried windwaker on v1.40 again and this time from usb flash drive and it worked but not from a sd card sorry I didn't post this sooner but I was still testing 1.40
Version 1.42 is already online, and revert changes of 1.40
That's a good question this is caused from changes in 1.40 in disc loading aparently.
Controller problem fixed in 1.43just wanted to report a problem i've been experiencing. i am on a wii using two gamecube controllers. i've been playing melee on r79 for a bit and it worked great for the most part. i decided to check up on nintendont again and saw a lot of things updated like a new repository, updated first post, etc (thanks for all that). so i decided to give the update a try. i loaded 1.35 on an sd card along with an image for melee, so everything is on the sd card. we found out that only full presses on the shoulder buttons work and that the analog non-full-press shoulder buttons of controllers 2, 3, and 4 are registered on player 1. so for example, if player 4 presses 'r' halfway to shield, player 1's character will shield instead. i tried on 1.42 and the same problem exists. would anyone else like to check on their end to see if this problem is reproducible? thanks!
also, i noticed that transitions take a lot longer than they did before on r79. like after selecting characters and pressing start, there is quite a noticeable delay in loading the next screen.
Are cheats even needed at this point? For SSBM they were useful because you couldn't save, but now that it works, I don't see the point. But it might be just me, I don't like playing with cheats.
Anyways, I've managed to create a cache.txt for Twilight Princess, using mostly the files that I saw were loaded everytime you move to another area (Link/Wolf and Midna models, different clothes and Shields, backgrounds, I think the first file is for the camera adjustment after it loads, some screens in the inventory and the full map; and some bgm files because there were just a few of those, most of the music files i ignored because they'd take too much space on memory..) There are also a few others that might or might not be useful but since they were loaded almost in every area I visited, I included them. This was done with a end-game save, so there might be things that are or aren't loaded earlier in the game, I'll probably test it later.
Finally, the most important files are STG_00.arc and a bunch of R_XX_00.arc files that are separated in different folders inside Stage (for example, F_SP121 and D_MN10, each corresponding to a different area). This time I'm following what @VinsCoolin the worst case I'd have to see which files are loaded in the slowest areas and cache only those because there are too many of them.
If anyone wants to test it in the mean time and check if it's still slow when moving between areas, please do so.
