Hacking Should I get a 3ds or 3ds XL?

XL hands down. I can't imagine going from an XL to a regular 3DS at this point. This is also the reason why my first DS was the DSi XL. Trust me, even going from a regular to an XL, you'll wonder why you ever bothered getting a regular one. Some people might disagree, but I think that once you have it physically in your hands and have experienced the extra screen space, you won't regret your decision, especially because it's less strain on your eyes. Some might not think it matters, but I do.

My story: I switched from an old 3DS to the XL version. And my big hands do not hurt anymore.
Only 1 of many more reasons to choose XL, but it was the most important to me.

Definitely go with the XL also it has a better battery than the 3DS.

I used to have a normal 3DS before I got 3DS XL, and it was more portable. XL is somewhat too big to carry around, but I love the bigger screen.
If I need to choose between them, I would definitely go for XL

The 3DS XL isn't all that "XL" to me honestly. But that's probably because I'm used to using a Note 3 and I recenlty got the 3DS XL

The screen is 90% bigger compared to the old one - I call that XL.

The XL is sweet. Be sure to throw screen protectors on first thing because there are many reports of the bottom screen chaffing the top screen when dust or pocket lint gets in between the two. Some XLs never have the problem but mine did so I quickly got screen protectors for it.

XL if you can get ahold of one without being price gouged on it. I've got a standard one myself, however the XL wasn't around yet when I bought mine.

i own both after i thought i would prefer the XL. truth be told, i rarely play the XL. i just like the potability more and to be honest, some games just dont look as nice on the big screen, because there was no increase in pixelcount.

I will always go for the XL, I find the screens of the original and 2DS too small for me.

tbh i always think the screen "looks" nicer on the original 3ds, and imo the 3D effect looks better on the standard 3DS

but still the XL wins for being nicer to hold and the bigger screen and better battery life

Same, the original 3DS was just a bit too cramped. Its strange though because the dimensions aren't to far from a DS Lite, and that never hurt my hands.
