Am I missing anything?
If I may suggest something, why not scratch the USB enclosure business and just get yourself a length of Ethernet cable and transfer files via FTP instead? You won't ever have to open the system, that's a pretty big advantage right there because sliding the drive in and out just to add new files is a pain. OPL/HDLoader can be on the memory card, but you can also store them on a USB thumbstick if you feel like it, or even on the internal hard drive or on a network location IIRC - it doesn't matter, paths are covered by FMCB.

As far as "missing something" in your planned setup, you're missing Winhiip, but that's pretty obvious, of course you'll need that. If you really want to go with your USB plan though, you might want to invest in an open HDD caddy instead of an enclosure unless you're planning to use it as a portable drive as well simply because it's a quicker plug-and-play solution.

FTP is good, but sometimes, the long wires might be a hassle, depends on what you can do/run. USB and HDD I've played with quite the bit, both are relatively easy, and I'm pretty sure it won't be that much trouble putting out and in. Take the few days, put all your games on the drive, and that's it.

You only need to use USButil for games over 4GB (FAT32 file system has a 4GB file size limit) if your loading from USB with OPL. Games under 4GB can be played from ISO, you just have to give them the right name and put them in the right folder.

generally, but if you decide to use an older version of OPL, for support or anything, or even running usb Advance just to see what games it would work with, always safe to have it in that format. sometimes even close to 3.99gb, might have to use it
