Has it come to nobody's attention that all cheated pokemon actually do NOT add up to the pokex/ pokemon caught number? I just saw this with the Y copy of a friend...

There was a problem with that before. I had it happen to me when I was activated the AZ Floette code before. If I remember though, I either shifted it between my cart and Bank or I traded it between my two carts to fix that though. It was a seemingly long time ago, so I can't be 100% sure how I fixed it.

Or also the people who have the old flash carts as well. It's the main reason why I still fire up my old DS Lite. :nds:

I highly doubt that they are going to have that in place. Nobody has found an exploit yet to overcome the encryption by software methods alone. Right now, the only thing that can overcome the cart encryption is a hard modded 3DS with custom made programming to basically force it to sign an altered save.

The best that we are going to have is Datel for now. Hopefully, the other guys like Bond, Slash, and Smea will find some way to exploit the same process using the current exploits that the flash carts use. However, even that may never come.

It's not save editing, but Xfr and I are working on full support for pokecheck. We want to have it in place by the time the gen 4/5 gtses shut down. We're not 100% sure pokecheck will support everything it currently does(that would be a stretch), but we're working on it.

That's great to know. Thanks a lot for updating us on it and for all the hard work that you are doing. :yaynds:

I know he was having some sort of personal IRL issues that were more important than pokemon, is everything ok now? Is he back to working on fake fake animal slave battles?

What exactly are you referring to by "support"?
What sections of pokecheck are you expeting to work with gen6?
How exactly are you going to solve the SSL/TLS problem?
Are you going to use something such as the battle video partial decryption method?

no, no personal issues. he was just busy with work.

1. gts, pk6 up/down, battle videos, etc.
2. gts, probably battle videos, probably not wondercards, but i don't want to say for sure yet.
3. already solved. not man in the middle.
4. no.

and no, i don't think pokeedit will be adding gen 6 support. they would need to do all the same reverse engineering and development. also, something that makes me very happy, there have recently been iphone/android apps popping up that would connect up to pokecheck and let people do things on pokecheck like managing their pokemon, uploading and downloading pokemon, etc. they won't be able to do that for gen 6 because they would need to do the same things we have to communicate with the gts. unless something major happens, we will probably be the only service supporting gen 6.

heh, sniped

1) Full Support
2) See Bond's reply above
3) See Bond's reply above
4) No, the partial decrypt trick is a no-barriers bandaid to let the anyone in the Pokemon community do SV related data gathering in the absence of Instacheck.

Just curious. Could we use the Powersaves hardware, combined with a different program, to read/write old gen Pokemon games, such as Black2/White2? Or does it specifically work only with 3DS games?

3DS and DS carts have the same number and order of pins so, without enough research, I don't see why not.
However, there are other much easier and faster ways to manipulate your DS cart's save such as NDs Backup tool.
