I agree with some of the people who are asking for a save file that begins directly at Case 3. I already finished Cases 1 and 2 before, but unfortunately, my hard drive had corrupted, so I couldn't gain access to the save file. It will be a real pain in the back to repeat Cases 1 and 2 again, and I certainly don't have the time to do that. So, can someone please upload a save file that begins directly at Case 3, or at least the part where Case 2 nearly finishes? Thank you very much.
Never mind, everyone! I just found the save file that begins directly at Case 3! For those who need the save file, here is the download link:

Go to File, select Import Backup Memory, select the save file (.sav), select AUTO (from imported save data size), and finally click OK. Reboot the game, and you should be good to go!

I saw the progress on the patch and I thought "Awesome! Still, I shouldn't play it until its done...". A day later I'm pleading for the patch to be finished. The temptation was too tough to resist! Great job by the way, it feels like just yesterday when I first saw the news of the patch that is coming, and now its on case 3!

I'm on case 2 and I just met Ray Shields. His sprites show him frequently giving "finger quotes", so I was wondering why you guys didn't incorporate the "quotes" into his dialogue "like this". Did the quotes mean something in Japanese that just doesn't translate well?
Edit: Further, why not change the California Roll into French Fries or something? Seems like the Ace Attorney thing to do.

The california roll is an american food to begin with.
This roll is orders of magnitude more popular in the US than in Japan, such that in Japan it's not even on the menu.
And having this roll is actually supposed to say something about Shields' quirky character.
When Shields gives people the fingers, it's very casual.
I imagine he only slightly emphasises a couple of words whenever he does that.
Putting in literal quotes on words might disrupt the sentence for people.
Although if you were to ask the editor, he might give you a different answer.

Technically illiterate noob here. Can someone please give me a step by step tutorial on how and where to patch the game? I have an emulator and the roms and I downloaded both formats but for some reason I can't get it to work. I assume I'm doing something wrong. Is there an actual patch I have to download or are the roms and the two links all I need. If there is an actual patch can someone link me to it? Thanks to anyone that is willing to help!
1)Download the patcher from this link: http://www.romhacking.net/download/utilities/893/
2)Inside that file you will find something called "beat.exe" open that up.
3)Now download the patch it self using this link:http://filetrip.net/nds-downloads/r...tion-2-patch-beat-case-1-2-and-3b-f32728.html (Click download file on the right side). Unpack this file as well.
4)No go to the patcher (beat.exe) and click apply patch. Now find the patch you downloaded in step three and double click that.
5)Now find the rom that you downloaded of miles edgeworth 2 (you said you already had it). Simply double click that now.
6)Now just name the new ROM anything you want and save it wherever you want.
DONE!
when you are choosing what ROM to load on your emulator always choose the rom that you saved and named yourself in step 6. Any issues don't be afraid to ask
EDIT:I almost forgot when you are naming your new file don't forget to put .NDS at the end of it or you won't be able to play it.

I am probably going to wait for a patch of all five episodes but if I do play with this patch for three episodes and a newer patch comes out will it affect my saved game and make it no longer load?

Though, I have a minor complaint. I know the game is set in Japanifornia, but why put only degrees Fahrenheit in the dialogue? A compromise solution would be to have both Fahrenheit and Celsius (in brackets, or something). Just saying...

@Xdqwerty, to answer your question, they're a fusion Brit-pop/J-pop/electronic band with a woman vocalist. Flamingo is hands down their best known song but they've got a ton of other really good songs+1 -
