I got one from Amazon. The seller has white and silver ones with the FW:4.4.0-E10. I bought the silver and it was a 4.X! There is no guarantee for the white.

Hey all, I don't want to link directly to anything because I don't want this post to be perceived as spam in any way, but there's a seller on eBay selling the OG 3DS and XL (used) from 119-149 and listing their firmware versions in the title if you don't want to jump through any hoops to procure a low firmware 3DS.
I saw this 3DS XL from a local shop. It had Copyright 2012 and SS10******* i dont know the others. Can someone confirm the firmware? Its pissing me off because my brother plans on selling his black/black (6.0) and buy this MK7 bundle, and told him about hacking; so its really a gamble because we arent sure.

I'm seeing tons of sets like this too! Some of the sets have copyright 2011-2012. Waiting for someone to confirm the firmware as well.

Friend picked up the other XL they had at that Shoppers location, turned out the blue/black actually had a SW1047xxxx serial and came with one minor revision higher firmware than my red/black SW1020xxxx:

They might, but good luck being able to find out. Most are incredibly snobby/douche-y about such things, and will try to insist you buy it first before they let you check it out.
I recently visited a store with same product but it was uae version, and the copyright was 2012 and yeah <12xxxxxx, i was ready to buy but the main guy at the store was so busy that he forgot to take money before testing the 3ds xl (it was red black), another guy opened it for me , i was shocked that it had 6.xxxxx , then i had to argue with the main guy as the seal was broken, after a long argument i managed to convince him that that i cant buy, and my money was saved.
If you want, you can order it from ebay , and the seller name is rossgames, they have few in stock, i just received mine 3ds xl red black and it was on 4.5xxxx, and it costs 270$.
I understand people in other countries than North America, Asia (JPN/HK/KOR) and EU may not have a lot of options where it comes to purchasing 3DS XLs, but I just paid $149 (+ tax) for a new unopened box at a retail store. That's Canadian so it's even less in US funds. Looks to me like $270 is quite expensive.
