Hacking Where to get a firmware 4.5 or below 3DS XL?

Just got mine today we have lots of them here

Serial: SEx1153xxxx x
- FW: 4.5.0-10E
- Copyright: 2013
- Colour: BLACK
- Model: 3DS XL
- Country: well I got mine from Egypt but the language on the box is not English it's Spanish so I think it's imported from Spain.

My Acekard doesn't work but I found out now that it doesn't work on 4.5 and waiting for my gateway to arrive.

I stopped by a Toys R Us near me first and found a bunch (like 7+) of SW12s in various color combos. There was one SW11 I think but it was a red / black version and I was looking for blue / black. I was trying to find the lowest serial number possible so I decided to look around some more. I checked out a Walmart, a Target, and a Best Buy and I believe there was only one red / black SW12 at Best Buy.

I dropped by Sears last and found a couple of SW12s and the SW10 that I ended up buying.

I would have never thought of going to Sears or Toys R Us if it weren't for this thread. You should definitely check those stores first if you are in the US.

This is Sears' return policy for consoles taken from my receipt:
VIDEO GAME SYSTEMS SHOULD NOT BE RETURNED TO THE STORE.
PLEASE CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER FOR REPAIRS AND EXCHANGES.

So if you get one from Sears be sure that it is SW12 and below because they may not let you return it.

EDIT: I just wanted to add that BRAND NEW 3DS XLs with <= 4.5.0 don't seem to be that rare yet.

I recommend checking pawn shops like Pawn America for them. I picked up a 4.1 3DS Aqua for $49.99 as the cart slot spit out games. It turns out the problem was that somebody put a green twist tie into the slot preventing the slot from locking. Pawn America will let you mess with the 3DS for a little bit. enough to have time to check the firmware on it.

they carry 2DS,3DS, and 3DS XL's so it should be pretty easy to find one there.

Yeah I got my 3DS from a pawn shop, I got to check the firmware (2.something) and saw that it was in really nice condition generally, felt happier seeing the condition with my own eyes than relying on descriptions and bad photos on eBay. Somehow I didn't notice it was missing the stylus, which was stupid, but am using my dsi one until a replacement arrives in the post.

Every single brand new original 3DS should be 4.5 or below.

I don't think they make it anymore. At least that's what I'm sure I've read on here.

The serial numbers are way below the SW1270xxxx X required, its the serial number "SS" that's throwing me off.

Today there was a $149 sale for the 3DS XL, usually people don't buy at a drugstore so I thought I'd try my luck. They had 2, both with SW1020xxxx serials, the blue/black was a banged-up (but round sticker-sealed) box, the red/black looked better. Picked up the Red/Black and whammo! FW 4.1.0-8U. Yeah I didn't think it'd be a good idea do set up an Internet connection on it right now, thank you.

I also have my black/black 3DS XL (still at factory OFW 5.1.0) so now I don't really care anymore what Smea is going to do, kernel access wise, with his 6.x 'sploit; the 4.1.0 has everything needed to get full system access, so it was a good buy IMHO.
