It does, but they don't host the ROMs, they simply provide a URL and web browser.

Actually they do host roms.
Did you try the Pokemon Emerald shiny Trecko event?
GBA4IOS events actually runs romhacks of the game.
And it is not an ips patch.
I checked it: Event distribution downloaded shinytreckoemerald.gba file.

Fair enough. I suppose that's one way to distribute "events", although the fact that they couldn't implement something as simple as IPS is rather sad, as well as a waste of bandwidth and the whole copyright infringement thing.

so the 'event pokemon' is not injected into your game?
you are just given the even hacked rom?

oh, i get it, and with your save file, you can start off where you were, and in the hacked rom, you collect the pokemon... nice idea
