I tried this since I have the Powersaves device. Put game in (Pokemon X US Version), says checking for codes/saves, says no hardware found, auto quits.

Confirmed to fail. Picture/video evidence is something I would like please.

Their hardware can modify the 3DS NAND to account for the different checksum (or whatever verification uses) upon modifying the save? Seems legit.

I'm pretty sure the whole Pokemon XY save support is in the same stage as their Mac OSX support, non-existant. Not that I actually use a Mac, but when it says on the Datel Powersaves box that it has support for OSX, and it later turns out it doesn't, it does not surprise me that it also doesn't have Pokemon XY support even though it says so right on their website.

Dunno about the english power save but the Japanese one works fine.
The catch is that for it to work with pokemon X/Y you need to have firmware 6.1.2 or something along those lines.
And that you can only use the codes they give you, currently 999 master ball and max money has been posted.

I tested my game which was never updated to version 1.1 or 1.2 and it worked fine. However in the case they release stuff like IV/EV modifier it will be useless as to use them online you need version 1.2 and to update the game you need the latest version of the e-shop which is only accessible from the latest firmware 7.x+

Perhaps Cyber will also make their attempt at making pokemon X/Y available, their save editor allows you to use hex editing and manual code input.

This is interesting. But it doesn't work for the latest firmware? Thats odd, wonder what they did to make it work. Anyway, is there a way that users could enter their own cheats? Maybe some people could try if they can make custom cheats.

For testing purposes of course :tpi:

Datel's powersave does not allow users to imput their own codes, nor do you see what the codes are when they are applied.
This is due to Datel fearing Cyber or other places may or may not steal their code and use it for profit. Powersave will only be worth buying if they give out more codes like editing out IVs/EVs and such. Currently it is pretty much a piece of crap compared to Cyber.

FYI, I got a friend's copy of Pokemon Y which he had saved after updating the game to 1.2 and his firmware to 7.x+
Turn out it won't read it sometimes, and the other times it says it failed to applied the code. His copy may be bad, or may be an unsupported serial, I am going to wait until they allow more codes before updating and testing out mine.

I updated game to 1.2 and am also on latest system firmware... Anything I can do about this?
Would removing game update help?
Edit
I removed game update, problem still happens :(

Anyone else have Powersaves device in US and get Pokemon X/Y to work?

I emailed Datel about problem. They wanted me to send pics of problem sequence. Am waiting for response from them. Since they are based in UK, I may not hear back until tomorrow. If there is a solution, I will post on here.

That's good, I'd certainly like to know what the deal is. Can't wait for the news.

I guess the save may get flagged as updated to 1.2 already somehow. I am not really familiar with how the new saving that pokemon uses works but the update may have done something to the save to modify it from being read or something along those lines.
I do remember in PSP games the address locations changed slightly after you updated them, maybe the same thing happens here too.

Crap. Should I start the game over? I was just before the 8th badge...
What codes/saves are available for Pokemon X/Y? Would it b worth it to start over?

If I delete save and game update and start over. Would I be able to use the codes, even with latest System Firmware?

Skeet1983 will you please quit multiple posting. Every thread you are in is just a wall of you asking the same questions over again or answering your own questions. I want to cheat at games just as much as you. Use the edit button. Not trying to be harsh but just be patient and if anyone knows the answer they will reply.

Do people really want to cheat that badly at Pokemon? Every time new Pokemon games come out, I download them first in Japanese, then play through it with a ton of cheats, but when they come out in my own country I buy them, and play them without cheats, which is much more fun and rewarding. When I came across my shiny Absol and Aggron in Black 2, I was so happy, since it wasn't cheated or anything. Then when I heard that most of my legitly trained Pokemon were getting mega-evolutions (Absol, Ampharos, Lucario and Aggron) I was very excited since I worked very hard for them. While I'm fine when people use cheats to make 'perfect' Pokemon, making them your own and working hard for them is much more rewarding.

Japanese Power save released 99999 BP and 999 Rare candy codes for the Japanese version just some moments ago.

Not to turn this into a whether its good to cheat or not thread, but people like me want to cheat for the purpose of making the perfect competitive team. I honestly do not give a fudge if my opponent spend a year breeding them or got them instantly with cheats as long as they are legit enough to go online. I have been playing pokemon showdown a lot and I just feel as if the entire concept of IVs/EVs is wasting a perfectly good game. Look at Dragon Quest monsters, they have no IVs/EVs and monsters have easier access to the competitive scene.
