Hacking Anyone have any news whatsoever about Gateway 3DS multi-ROM?

I probably check the official Gateway site, and this one, at least once an hour during my normal work day, hoping to see anything new regarding the upcoming firmware release. Bought a 32GB microSDHC card, and can't do anything differently with it than I could with any old 2GB card.

.. since you've mentioned MicroSd cards can I buy a 64 one instead of two 32 ?

No news, part of their last mail i received on 26th Jan:

"Our final 2.0 firmware will be released soon. We can't give an exact date yet,
as we can find some bugs while testing in depth the firmware on various consoles
versions and region, but it won't be long."

Is it still too soon now?

They told me that it surely will be released in less than a month and that it could be just a couple of days, "something in between"

All that's known is that it will come eventually and that's all that will in all likelyhood be known before release. And when it's released I'm willing to bet ten bucks it'll be on the front page.

I read that 64GB is the maximum that the Gateway 3DS can handle, and that they are working on increasing its capacity to handle 128GB cards.

But, really, there is barely 50GB worth of decent games. Unless you want ALL THE 3DS ROMZ on your card at the same time, 32GB should be plenty.

Seems like they are based in China, as they've been dead silent during the Chinese celebrations. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but those go until the 6th, right?

So maybe next week we can expect an update, if not the release of 2.0.

Well, other Gateway 3DS users HAVE confirmed their 32GB cards work. I Googled it, without even adding GBATemp to the search field, and it linked me back to several topics right here, from users using a 32GB card, specifically. I just bought one off of Amazon, myself. I wouldn't lie to you.

I HIGHLY recommend using the 3DS ROM Tool to trim/anti-update your ROMs. I saved dozens of GBs of hard drive space that way. Same functionality from what I have seen.

I know 32GB is fine I was talking about a 64GB one so it will save me switching cards back and forth ..

Try trimming your ROMs. I bet you anything that you will cut them down to under 40GB.

as of right now the 32gb is the biggest that the gateway card supports they are working on getting the 64 gb card to work I sent them a email on it. ive posted on gbatemp about that already.
