It's been a while since I've used a NES emulator regularly. Is there one that has a speedup toggle option? Preferably one which I can map a key to, ala VBA or ZSNES. Thanks.

NESDS will do what you want
http://www.cs.utah.edu/~tew/nesDS/

I did a little comparisson of GBA/DS nes emus the other day:

PC wise I have not played around with nes emus for years (7 is a good bet here) so I am afraid I will not be much help. Most modern ones should include a speed option though.

You've linked to a VERY old version of nesDS. emu_kidd has since worked on the emulator, bringing save states and such to it and thus making it a fantastic emulator all-around!
