But i have my older firmware dumped thru Gateway and saved on my computer! I have tested the soldering points with an multimeter and everything seems good, but my computer doesnt fins my nand????
If you go through the last few pages you will see all the frustration I've had with this. You haven't shown the rest of your solder points, so I can't say for sure. But I will say that I showed extensive pics and many members here agreed I was doing everything correctly yet I still couldn't get it to work.

One thing I will say is that apparently the error code doesn't always mean anything. I read every stinking page of this thread and there are half a dozen different error codes that people have reported working.

As for now, I suggest you take a few more pics of all the work you've done so that we (well I'll remove myself from this one lol) may hp you.

YEAHHHH! I got it working and successfully flashed back to my old 4.50 CLK was connected to pin 4 instead of 5 on my sd adapter:)

Congrats. If only I could be this lucky LOL!

EDIT: You say it was connected to pin 4 rather than 5... are you talking about the SD adapter? Because mine is soldered the exact same way yours is...

May I ask what you did to get it to show up? Be as specific as you can. I've been at it for days.

It only took my 30 minutes lol. I bought a JST SH connector from here : https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10359 It already comes with a female end as well.
I wired the male one(already has wires on it) to the SD card(after cutting it shorter). I then took some ribbon cable and soldered that to the female end and to the solder points on the mother board. Cut a tiny hole in the side of the DS. Connect the JST SH to the SD card and the SD card to a reader. Turn on the DS and youll get a blue screen.

I guess I wasn't very specific haha. I mean you couldn't get the NAND to show up on your Mac or PC, but then you edited and said you could.

Oh haha. I did two things wrong. I had CMD and CLK switched and I think(wasnt sure) I had a bad solder point on my female connector bridging DAT0 and CLK.

Yes! i counted 5 but it shall be the 4th from right! take an multimeter and check, do it on the pins on the sd adapter , test if the soldering end goes to right end on the pins. its easy to be confused with all numbers.. hope this help, PS: i got the same error code as you get 0000000400 with another sd adaptor before i corrected this.

thank you ordered will post more pictures of the finished product when i receive it

EDIT:

i know some people have used this board (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9614), i am thinking about buying it, but don't know which thing goes where ( GND -> GND obviously, but how about CMD, DAT0, and CLK? options are VCC, D-, and D+) sorry if this is a noobish question, i just dont have a lot of expertise in this field.. thanks

oh and i was seeing a lot of comments about 4pin and 5 pin, my question is would a 5 pin male cable work ok in this, or do i need a 4 pin male cable?

My confusion is this. The picture that you posted above. Is that connection INCORRECT????
I am referring to THIS image

I am asking because that is the EXACT way I have mine wired. Are you able to take a pic of how you REWIRED it for me?

Much appreciated!
