Yeah, I don't appreciate being called names. Maybe you should search who you're talking to before telling me to educate myself, lol. The "x" in the d2x CIOS you probably have installed on your console stands for XFlak, and that's not even what I'm mainly known for.
Also priiloader doesn't install system menus let alone perform region changes. Now you're going to try and backtrack and say obviously that's not what you meant, but that's what you said.
Oh and if you believe that this statement is incorrect, let's see proof, or kindly accept you might not be the tech genius you think you are
"No Korean Wii's (or any Wii made mid-2008 or later) are able to install bootmii as boot2."
Don't you have anything better to do? I'm sure there are some other decade old threads you can revive. Why don't you go post in the d2x thread and tell davebaol he doesn't know a thing about cios's? (Cuz davebaol is to cios's like DeadlyFoez is to brick repairs.)
You want to discuss things like an adult I'm game. But quoting a post from 10 years ago and claiming DeadlyFoez is lying is BS behavior. Come out and say "are you sure you couldn't be mistaken? In my experience xyz" and that's a different story.
Let's examine your first post a bit more closely.
That is a lie. I have fixed a black screen brick, files are corrupted brick, korean brick, and about every other brick. All I needed was just the boot files. I got them from a website, and unbricked my Wii.
What boot files are you talking about? The bootmii folder? Yeah, that won't help without bootmii already installed as boot2. Are you referring to the actual bootmii boot2 nand blocks that you can restore using a hardware flasher like infectus? This is beyond my hardware skills, but I've seen DeadlyFoez do it, and it's only possible on older consoles with a vulnerable boot1. But yeah, you make it sound like you found some magical files from some mysterious website that can help u recover from any brick without a nand backup bootmii or priiloader or anything. Why don't you enlighten us and teach us oh wise one? I'm sure I didn't read about that in wii.guide, but if this amazing solution u have works I'm sure I can talk to the guys running the site and they can add a page dedicated to your greatness and brains.
Edit: in your last post u say you used priiloader to recover from a similar situation. Implied in the original post is that he doesn't have priiloader (it gets removed when changing system menus in case you weren't aware) so your solution won't work in this case (and definitely not all cases). But yeah, if I could rewind the clock I would tell the OP to double check if priiloader was (re)installed immediately after the new system menu and before this issue surfaced. If priiloader or bootmii is accessible, then I agree that recovery is easy even without a nand backup, but that isn't what we're talking about.
