; On, my own note, I got it back up MUCH faster than before... (turned off the wifi for my internet, reconnected my D-Link, and installed it with the correct driver. Just gotta NOT let it update that...)
Ok, Alszem. First off, do you know for sure that either of your wireless cards have the option for a custom Mac address? To check, go to Network Connections, select the adapter's Properties, Advanced tab. If it has an option to input a manual Mac address, then it can, otherwise, no good (as far as I know, at least).
If that is good, then it can be a bit weird trying to get it going, or it was for me at least. First, set your custom Mac address, (DO NOT CHANGE THE MAC FOR ANY ADAPTER WITH AN INTERNET CONNECTION. That is a Blue Screen dump, and you will have to remove the device, uninstall it or remove it's keys (to stop it from Blue Screening on system boot), and then set it up again, a stupid pain) and have the other connected to the internet. Nickname the custom mac one to Wi-Fi (for the MacCycle program) and then open Command Prompt. From there, input:
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=attwifi key=87654321
This will set up the Wifi Miniport Adapter (ie, Virtual Router).
Then, input:
netsh wlan start hostednetwork
If it says it's started, great! If it says something like that the device isn't ready... then things can get annoying.
Also, if it's working, then after the setup input, you should see it appear in the Network Connections window.
Assuming it says it started, then go back to Network Connections, select your internet adapter and go to it's Properties, Sharing tab. Set Internet Sharing to On and select it for the Virtual Router (whatever it's named for the list).
At this point, you should be able to get your Homepasses! Change Macs (either manually or using MacCycle) to hit other locations!
Note: Despite being told so, I still haven't seen that the actual router supplying the HotSpot is whose Mac needs changed... it doesn't seem to do anything for me. I only get one set of Passes per 8 hours, despite successful mac changes. But since the Mac for the Virtual Router CAN'T be changed, (And DON'T change the internet one)... I guess that must be the one. I don't know. sigh...

Short of tampering with system keys, you shouldn't be even capable of 'messing up' anything on your computer. The worst case scenario is uninstalling and reinstalling things.
If you are totally worried, then I'd recommend a total system backup to an external drive. (Using something like "Paragon Backup & Recovery"; though, finding a good free copy can be difficult... -_-; ) Or, on the safer side, and assuming you have the OS disc (your really should anyway), you can back up all your stuff, and if things somehow miraculously go to badness, you can just reinstall the OS. Annoying, but I've found it effective solution for many stupid problems.

I don´t know if this was posted before, but i found a way to get the streetpass relay in window 7.
Just use the program connectify and the MACycle. No more things needed.
I already got 17 street pass in less than a hour.
Yeah, I tried that... and found that Connectify isn't free, and the demo version doesn't allow full control of the network name (ie: Can't name it to "attwifi"). So unless willing to shell out money for simply streetpassing... (which then just getting a wireless router would be about the same, but better).
