Firstly, I'd like to say I'm not a 'noob' and the gripe I have is with Supercard's reticence to even let its users know whether they will be getting an update or not. I know there are other games to play and I've tried most of them but the worry I have (and it appears others do too) is that normally a fix or patch is usually released sooner or we're told news of a patch coming or we're informed that there's trouble patching such a game. This time NO information has been divulged which is clearly worrying.

Oh and happy birthday for tomorrow 5uck3rpunch!

SC has always been good with fast updates on non working roms, it's what makes the SC so good, and easy to reccomend to others.

But now we have to wait until the 1st of october for any fixes according to a post by ratx (moderator) on scdev. It's strange why SC are all of sudden acting like this.

I really hope that every person that gets on a soapbox and shouts "Go buy the Original Cart" get aids or cancer or ... better yet both. While fanboy wars can be fun to watch (or read) flashcart fanboy wars are just so annoying (mainly cause that fanboy usually only has ONE PARTICULAR CARD) so I also hope those people get eaten by ... a polar bear. No me, jesus like I said in the other G6 topic they probally just want to cover all aspects. Guess what Today or tomorrrow you'll get your patch and there is a good chance OMG you will have HARVEST MOON support then the kiddies will say "OMFG SC RULEZ CAUSE IT PLAYS HM:DS and G6 Don't"..for about a day...then you will all be equal again....for a few more days....tilll the next release. I don't really care if it takes em a week cause I counted 150 US roms in my collection, I have beat like 10 so I have a lot to keep me busy. Plus there is like oh.....maybe 100 GBA games for me to play. So sit patient. Chill. Don't go buy the original cause within hours of your purchase you'll get updated software and then you'll be pissed. Save your $30 or $40 dollars and go buy yourself something pretty instead.

My guess is people have lives. Damn Oct 1st is a long wait. Good thing the GBA and DS already have such a great library to keep you busy till then. Or instead of BUYING THE FRICKING GAME as so many people recomend....well why not buy another kit. So that way if one doesn't work you have the option of the other!. Works for me!

If the guy wants to talk about an issue he has with a product he paid for whats the problem?

The fact that this type of topic has become like a desease here at GBAtemp, im just saying everyone is getting sick of hearing that someone isn't happy that they arnt getting the new update as fast as they want it, or are not getting all the info they want from the company that brought their kit from. As i said, if we were all to complain there would be 40,000 compaints everyday.Fair enough if its something like "the Hinge crack" but things like "NO UPDATES YET?" is just annoying, hence others telling you to wait.

i never said you were a n00b, but im starting to think it now, i said you were a newbie, as does you memeber descriptions states.
But if you would take note of say..the EZ-teams release, they were the first to patch legostars wars 2, but now that patch doesnt allow Harvest moon to work, But G6's later patch now allows for this game to work, but ez-team is now behind...think about it, there are alot of new releases coming out, by the looks of it supercard are waiting it out so they release one new patch to fix all the problems. Because EZ-team have to release another patch to fix harvest moon.
DO you see what im getting at, normally for those who what longer better things will happen.

BTW happy Birthday for tomorrow 5uck3rpunch

You just gotta understand everyone is in the same boat, it just whether you wish to complain or not is the question, and it seems more often than not its the new comers complaining, because if there was a REAL problem a more advance member would be complaining.

[EDIT] WELL SAID HUGECOCK

Well looks like the latest patcher from G6 supports Harvest Moon but you get the point of my whole original post.

@S2561588, I see what your saying, maybe someone could ask the GBAtemp team if its possible to create a specific issue/complaint thread maybe that would help clear up the rest of the forum? I dont know just an idea

My whole point was I didn't know when Supercard was going to issue an update but now I've been informed it's October 1st, so I can rest my rant (oh, I am a newbie in the sense that it's only recently after reading this site for a few years that I've start posting). Yes, I could go out and buy another flash card and after all this debacle I think I probably will. And I really don't agree with all this fanboyism as each card has its advantages. I'm no more loyal to Supercard than any other card but some people can only afford one card and these were the people I was trying to highlight.

Just out of curiousity how is it that that new ds x card is able to avoid all this patching (not proven yet i dont think). If they can do it cant supercard, g6, and m3 etc just copy the same software setup and put it as a firmware upgrade?

i think it has something to do w/ the fact that it runs from the DS slot, and not the GBA

Would be cool if they give their patcher software a new look and make it overall more userfriendly. Or maybe even a nicer OS (firmware)? Did they say anithing why it takes this long? I know they have to patch more than one game this time and have many SC versions (CF, SD, miniSD, microSD) but it's still a long time.

ROFL, who the hell is S2561588?

Topic title says "Why are there no updates from Supercard?, When M3, EZ4 & G6 have had them". Don't you think it gives enough clue of what is the thread all about? Just ignore them.

You are more annoying than them,...

While I agree that the flash cart war threads are retarded (I think they should just be immediately deleted) for that exact reason, "buy the game" should actually be a valid point. No matter how untrue it might be, this board goes on the assumption that we're using "backups," thus giving us a legal defense, however flimsy. That's why we can't link roms. And why people asking for them get shot down so quickly.

I know that the general argument is that one game won't make a difference, but hey it might. If everyone on these forums imported Ouendan instead of downloading it, maybe it wouldn't have been such a huge failure - only a few tens of thousands sold, I believe. I myself own a decent amount of GBA games and a couple DS games... for what it's worth. Eagerly waiting to buy EBA so maybe that one sells more than a drop in the bucket as well.

If SC keeps lagging behind like this, it will soon lose it's prestige amongst users. Sc until now have been excelent, it's strange that all of a sudden this situation has arisen.

If SC are really expecting it's users to 'chill' and demand that we 'buy the game' if we can't wait then it will find in the future that it's customers will look else where.
